The Jepson School is the first institution of its kind in the world with a full-time, multidisciplinary faculty dedicated to the pursuit of new insights into the complexities and challenges of leadership and to teaching undergraduates what they know.

Encouraging students to lead lives of consequence

Jepson students study leadership not only as a position but also as a process and a relationship among people. Courses challenge students to think critically, communicate effectively, and anticipate change. 

Advancing scholarship

The Jepson faculty draws upon a rich variety of disciplines to gain insight into leadership studies. In addition to teaching students, faculty members contribute to leading academic journals, author textbooks and monographs, and serve as resources for media.

Enhancing public understanding

The Jepson School is dedicated to advancing the dialogue around leadership studies by hosting visitors and speakers from wide-ranging backgrounds. Many of these events, such as the Jepson Leadership Forum series and the Marshall Center Lecture Series, are open to the public and free to attend.

As the 2016–17 Zuzana Simoniova Cmelikova Visiting Scholar in Leadership and Ethics, Dr. Maria Esperanza Casullo is taking a break from her role as associate professor at the Universidad Nacional de Río Negro in Argentina and spending time conducting research and teaching at the Jepson School of Leadership Studies.

After the Vote
To help understand this campaign and consider what the future for governance may be, Dr. Kenneth P. Ruscio, 2016–17 Jepson School leader-in-residence, put together a panel of political scientists for a discussion titled "After the Vote."
