Jewish Community Services of South Florida (JCS) offers comprehensive support to newly arriving refugees eligible under the U.S. Refugee Program. We assist Afghan, Ukrainian, Cuban, and Haitian individuals seeking refuge in South Florida. Guided by Jewish values and over 105 years of experience, JCS provides essential safety-net services that enhance the quality of life and promote the self-sufficiency of vulnerable individuals.
Through our initial 90-day service program, we deliver core services required by the Federal government and continue to support refugees on their path to self-reliance. As a partner of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS), JCS has resettled 56 Afghan refugees and provided intensive case management, community navigation, nutritional support, financial assistance, employment search, translation and referral services to more than 900 newcomers.
