Scandal adalah sebuah serial TV drama politik Amerika yang dibintangi oleh Kerry Washington. Dibuat oleh Shonda Rhimes, mulai ditayangkan di ABC pada 5 April 2012. Karakter yang diperankan oleh Kerry Washington, Olivia Pope, berdasarkan pada tokoh pada masa George Bush bernama Judy Smith, yang juga sebagai produser eksekutif. Serial ini mengambil lokasi di Washington, D.C. dan berfokus pada firma manajemen krisis milik Olivia Pope, Pope & Associates, dan karyawannya, serta karyawan pada Gedung Putih.

Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) mendedikasikan hidupnya untuk melindungi images publik dari tokoh elit nasional dan memastikan rahasia mereka tidak pernah diketahui. Olivia adalah mantan Direktur Komunikasi Gedung Putih untuk presiden, tetapi telah berhenti untuk membuat firma manajemen krisis miliknya, Olivia Pope and Associates. Dia berharap dapat memulai bab baru hidupnya, tetapi dia mendapati bahwa dia tidak dapat meninggalkan bagian dari masa lalunya tanpa membuatnya terlihat memiliki kelemahan tertentu.
