This icon is a small box with a gap in the top line. In between the gap there is a large arrow that is pointing down. The arrow has a small pointed line on the end of a long vertical line. The icon is indicating that something is downloading

Story about Download Icon
Whether you're saving your ex-girlfriends photos from Facebook or browsing through women that don't look like her, downloading is an essential part of your Internet life. No matter how you live your Internet life, we believe that providing you with a free downloadable "download" icon will remind you to keep on living your intimate life the way you want. And yes that was too many downloads in one sentence but who cares, be free!
Usage of the Download Icon
One of the internet’s many shining accomplishments is spurring the world domination of illegal downloads. Since the day that Napster was freed into the world, people and their piracy habits were forever changed. Trying to make a living out of artistry also suffered, but who cares about that. From then on, no one ever wants to pay anything off the internet. There really is nothing more enticing than getting a 100-dollar game for free, or watching any movie ever while eating cold pizza on the couch at no expense. Anything that’s free, e.g. music, food, liquor—count us in. How dare they make us pay for something they worked hard on?For us download mongers, that downward arrow is a long-time friend—keeping us safe in a sea of useless buttons and providing company in times of loneliness.
Much like the download button, we got your back. There are different sorts of download icons to choose from.
Other icons that go well with the download symbol are:
- MP3
- UTorrent
And to help you organize your thousands of downloads, there are different types of folder icons available:
- Document folder
- Picture folder
- Music folder
- Video folder
