Evogene (NASDAQ: EVGN, TASE: EVGN.TA), a leading biotechnology company developing novel products for life science markets using a unique computational predictive biology platform, is seeking an Agronomist to join its Plant Growth team.

The team is responsible for a wide variety of crops, grown in climate-controlled greenhouses and net greenhouses, studying crop response to different environmental conditions, and developing agronomic solutions.

What are you going to do:

• Perform various agricultural tasks (propagation, planting, spraying, harvesting, etc.).
• Design, supervise, and conduct agronomic experiments.
• Work with diverse groups and several systems according to the company’s needs.
• Responsible for greenhouse control systems, agrotechnical equipment and facilities.
• Knowledge of Phyto sanitation and QA.

Successful candidates will have experience in:

• Proven agricultural experience; having an academic degree – a significant advantage.
• Practical experience of at least two years in a commercial company in one of the following areas: development, seeds, crop protection, or commercial greenhouse management.
• Skilled in executing agricultural experiments.
• Experience with a wide variety of crop growth – a significant advantage.
• Driving license.
• Skilled in executing agricultural experiments.
• Knowledge of Office applications.
• Willingness to work in the field or greenhouse in variable weather conditions.
