EU countries agreed on Thursday to strengthen sanctions on North Korea (DPRK), following a UN resolution adopted last month in response to country's nuclear and missile activities. The sanctions impose a ban on coal, iron, iron ore, seafood, lead and lead ore. The measures target arms smuggling and joint ventures with foreign companies or banks, and impose a ban on North Korean workers in the EU.
