Romania MPs approve left-wing government

Romania's parliament broadly backed the government of Sorin Grindeanu on Wednesday, bringing the social democrats back to power after a one-year hiatus. Grindeanu, who was nominated prime minister last Friday, has promised to raise the minimum wage, build roads and take other steps that would encourage Romanians not to emigrate.
