Ireland to push for Northern Ireland EU re-entry

The government of Ireland wants the Brexit negotiations to include a commitment that if Northern Ireland and Ireland ever become united again, Northern Ireland would gain speedily access to the EU, the Irish Times reported on Wednesday. The United Kingdom is due to leave the EU and will take Northern Ireland with it, but the Good Friday peace agreement allows for a potential future Irish unification referendum.
