Bob Dylan 1963. aastal

Bob Dylan (sünninimi Robert Allen Zimmerman; sündinud 24. mail 1941 Duluthis Minnesotas) on USA laulja, laulukirjutaja, muusik ja luuletaja.

Ta on olnud alates 1960. aastatest folk-rock'i juhtfiguure ja üks andekamaid laulukirjutajaid. Tema tekstid olid eriti karjääri alguses sotsiaalse, poliitilise ja filosoofilise sisuga, hiljem muutusid tekstid isiklikumaks. Mitmed tema laulud on ka sõjavastased, nagu "Blowin' in the Wind" ja "The Times They Are a-Changin".

Tema omapärasele stiilile on mõju avaldanud nii folk, kantri, bluus, rock'n'roll kui ka džäss. Ta on musitseerinud koos mitmete tuntud muusikutega, nagu Paul Simon, Johnny Cash ja Eric Clapton. Koos George Harrisoni, Jeff Lynne'i, Roy Orbisoni ja Tom Pettyga kuulus ta supergruppi Traveling Wilburys.

Martin Scorsese on temast teinud dokumentaalfilmi "No Direction Home: Bob Dylan".

2007. aastal esilinastunud Todd Haynesi film "Kus on Bob Dylan?" ("I'm Not There") on inspireeritud Bob Dylani eluloost. Dylani eluloo osadel põhinevaid tegelaskujusid mängivad kokku kuus näitlejat: Marcus Carl Franklin, Ben Whishaw, Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, Richard Gere ja Cate Blanchett. Film on võitnud mitmeid auhindu ning Cate Blanchett kandideeris parima naiskõrvalosa Oscarile.

2016. aastal sai ta Nobeli kirjandusauhinna.
