In response to a query: only non-professional palindromists are eligible for the prize, but all are very welcome to send palindromes for posting. Rules under “Palindrome” page at top of blog.
How do I enter a palindrome into the contest? Do I just post it as a comment?
Thanks for asking. You should send it to me at:
[email protected]
The requirements are above, and so you would want to send it by July 21, midnight. Since there would be only one “winner” it makes sense just to send it to me. The truth is, we’ve only ever had one winner, and he writes a Palindrome magazine (now precluded). No one has even submitted a candidate. I regularly put up several examples that I create at odd moments. I deliberately only show a few that satisfy all the requirements, because I don’t want to use them up. For this month I gave one that actually went overboard, satisfying all 4, when only 3 are required:
Able no risk radar event. Naïve deviant? Never a dark sir on Elba.
I guess I get to keep my books again, not sure what I’ll add as a fifth for August. Or will I be proved wrong?
