.google is a brand top-level domain (TLD) used in the Domain Name System of the Internet. Created in 2014, it is operated by Alphabet Inc.[1] It was the first registered Brand gTLD to be associated with a publicly accessible website. Plans have been made to move other Alphabet inc. products to .google and several of their other registered domains.[2]
Google Domains, a domain registration service offered by Google,[3] is hosted at domains.google.[4]
Google owns and runs a number domains that are using the .google domain extension. These include:
- com.google, which redirects to the Google homepage for the country you are in.
- domains.google, which allows domain registration for the .google domain extension.
- blog.google, a blog that posts about news re Google products.
- registry.google, A informational site about Google's registered domains.
