Happy Boxing Day!

Time to pull out the left-overs for Boxing Day and celebrate the more relaxed part of Christmas with those loved ones maybe not seen the day prior. I don't know about you, but I love to pull Christmas Crackers with others anytime the occasion musters - New Year's Eve being another perfect opportunity for that perfect little BANG to ring in the year! I always liked finding the jokes inside and putting on the tissue paper party hats that would invariably break over my noggin'!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas Day! We had a fabulous time with the "kids" back in Colorado — with a long drive there and back — but are back here in KY now.... and enjoying having our doggie back now that we can take him with us to the office, etc. So nice. His Scottie cuteness definitely inspired my bunny! Brendel even wears a very dapper sweater when outside right now too. :)

Happy Christmastide! Thanks to any of you who found the time in the midst of holidays to render anything at all...especially such a hard challenge. Sorry about that. Not sure what I was thinking there! The next one might be a bit easier..or not, as the case may be. Remember, just an object will work for it. One doesn't have to depict an entire scene, if hurried. Thanks again for all your efforts. It's certainly hard finding the time during what is actually meant to be downtime!

We're having a crackin' time!

Sorry guys, we've been on the road and so had scheduled this post yesterday but clearly didn't hit "publish" as it's sat in draft mode all day! Grrr. We just checked in to the place we're staying at whilst back in Fort Collins, so only now had a chance to fix this. So annoying. Sorry for the delay! (And I thought I was being so terribly efficient!)

These are a few of my favourite things - Christmas crackers! And in a nod to the song, I even added ribbon. We used to always have these decoratively placed above each of our plates as part of the table settings on Christmas Day and oftentimes Boxing Day (26th)* too.  Then again, whenever we could stand staying up late, we'd pull them out again on New Year's Eve, sharing ours with each person to to our right and left with arms crossed over whilst heartily singing a rendition of  Auld Lang Syne!

How about you? What came to mind? Maybe someone chose something from summer days? Hmm... let's find out!

P.S. *Speaking of the 26th, let's continue our festive celebrations and end this year's Scribble Picnics with a bang! :) In the meanwhile, I write this whilst driving two full days to arrive back in our old home town of Fort Collins. We'll be here for a week before heading back again to KY with various long items not picked up last time, tossed in the back of our rental truck! I hope each of you have a very Happy Christmas and joyous holidays!

P.P.S. Did everyone see Lissa's Forest entry a few weeks ago? It must have taken her ages so do please check it out and leave her a comment for all her hard work! Thank you.

P.P.P.S! Our special announcement you've most likely seen by now is up, btw. :)
