Object-Oriented Philosophy

That’s the title of a fine Routledge anthology on prehistory, edited by Stella Souvatzi, Adnan Baysal, and Emma L. Baysal, available HERE.

I have a chapter on Morton’s concept of hyperobjects, but the whole volume is of interest for anyone with even a peripheral interest in philosophical issues connected with archaeology.

I greatly enjoyed it, and at times forgot that I was reading Badiou and lapsed into thinking I was reading one of Lacan’s own seminars.

If all of Badiou’s seminars are this good, they will probably end up being as important to his legacy as Lacan’s seminars or Heidegger’s lecture courses are in those cases.

Somehow, the news seems not to have spread (at least in the United States) that the sequel to Badiou’s Being and Event and Logic of Worlds was published a couple of months ago. But here it is: L’Immanence des vérités. My copy just arrived, though realistically it will be a few weeks before I can seriously dig into it.
