Wisconsin forestry officials use a variety of strategies to protect human life, property and natural resources from wildfire. These include prevention and safety programs, extensive training, in fire suppression and partnerships with other agencies and local governments. DNR depends on citizen reporting and our fire patrol flights to detect wildfires.
