Gifts from donors -- including alumni, friends, firms, allied professions, foundations, and other organizations -- provide key funding for many areas in the College of Design.
Many programs outside the regular budget could not be sustained without donor support. Here are just a few examples of areas that are impacted by private gifts:
- Scholarships and Fellowships
- Public lectures
- Sponsorship of visiting scholars
- Communication with alumni and donors via publications
- Recruitment and recognition of students with prizes and other awards
- Faculty in their teaching, research, and outreach activities
