Buffalo PPE Nets Big Grant for Local, Empirical, Philosophical Project on Immigration
The University at Buffalo’s Philosophy, Politics, and Economics faculty have won a $500,000 grant from the Mellon Foundation for an innovative project that brings philosophy together with community engagement in order to learn about the relationship between immigration and local democratic culture. Philosophy Department Chair Sues Previous Chair over Sexual Harassment
The current chair of the Department of Philosophy of Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa is suing the former department chair, who she says “stalked and harassed” her. She is also suing the College, its provost, and a dean, whom she says mishandled her complaints and allowed the former chair to retaliate against her. (more…)
