The Center for Social Justice Research, Teaching and Service (CSJ) opened its doors in January 2001. The Center has a mission that is simple to state but far-reaching in its implications: In order to advance justice and the common good, CSJ promotes and integrates community-based research, teaching and service by collaborating with diverse partners and communities.

Following advocacy by groups such as Hoyas for Immigrant Rights, Georgetown University announced the launch of the Undocumented Student Resource website — an online portal meant to provide information and resources for undocumented current and prospective Georgetown students — in a campus-wide email from Vice President for Student Affairs Todd Olson on Thursday.
Junior Science and Humanities Symposium

On March 10th and 11th, CSJ welcomed high school students and teachers from the greater Washington Metropolitan Area to the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS). During the JSHS, participants had the chance to visit laboratories on campus, hear from keynote speakers, learn about research projects conducted by their peers, and attend a seminar led by a professional scientist!
Service Beyond the Hilltop: CSJ Turns 15

The Center for Social Justice Research, Teaching, and Service will celebrate its 15th anniversary during the upcoming Social Justice Week, held from February 20 to 26. Established the same weekend President DeGioia was inaugurated, the CSJ continues to expand in its ability to support meaningful community service.
