We are enjoying some snow again. And I'm so glad I didn't have to drive yesterday... The roads were quite slippery.
I took this picture from inside as it is really cold today. It was -13°C this morning, which is completely unusual here.
The dog thinks this is very funny and keeps on asking to go and play in the garden.
Here he is coming back from a little outing...
Then, of course, he needs to take a nap until next playtime...
I started working on my 12x12 "Chairs" quilt. I made a lot of sketches on paper, and also in my head (during the night). Today, I thought it was time for me to start sewing, otherwise I might become a real insomniac...
The piecing is done. Tomorrow, I'll start the quilting and embroidery.
A few days ago, I did sign up for the new Creative Every Day Challenge at Leah's blog. It is a very gentle challenge, no hard rules, but I hope it will remind me to spend more time every day in my little studio.
Yesterday night, I did the back-breaking part of the job: basting the three layers of the quilt together. Now I am ready for a few relaxing evenings in front of the telly.
My dog was not really interested in helping me. There was a time when he woud have tried to lie on the quilt just for fun.

M
y backyard this morning... A perfect day for a long walk with the dog...
After a little while, the sun broke through the clouds... Lovely!
Sharon has posted her February Take it Further Challenge here. I went for the colour palette again, and played a little with two of my digital pictures.
I think the first image could be translated into a small quilt, but I'm not sure this is the kind of thing I would like to make.
Maybe I could interpret the second image with my needlefelting machine... What do you think?
