CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #179

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #179

Hello all! It’s time for a new challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays Challenge blog! This week is definitely a humdinger for us stampers, no stamps only dies!

But that’s okay I know you all can handle it, you all got the skills! And I’m sure you are curious how I faired, so without further ado here’s my creation.

First, I diecut the leaves and the largest flower from the Posies Fri-Die set out of an A2 panel of white cardstock. Then I diecut the leaves and the medium flower from the same set out of a panel of dark pink cardstock. I then cut the leaves again and then the smallest flower from a light pink panel of cardstock. Lastly, I diecut the leaves one more final time from a yellow cardstock panel. I the adhered all the panels together with the white on top, then the dark pink, then the light pink, and then the yellow. And once I had all the panel adhered I added a light green A2 panel underneath the yellow. I then trimmed the panel down and adhered it to an A2 top-folding white card base. I then die cut 4 “Smile” using the Smiling Fri-Die set out of white card stock and then adhered them together one on top of the other.

I then die cut the sentiment again out of gold paper and adhered it on top of my stack. Next I adhered the sentiment to my panel and then die cut 9 more tiny circles from the gold paper using the dot over the “i” from the “Smile” die. Lastly, I adhered 3 of these tiny circles in the center of each flower.

I hope you enjoyed and I have possibly inspired you to give this week’s challenge a go! Thanks for stopping by!

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge CFC178

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge CFC178

Hello everyone!! It’s time for a new challenge or at CAS-ual Friday’s Challenge Blog! This time the theme is Christmas in July!

This is such a fun challenge for the summer and it’s always a good idea to get a jump start on those Christmas cards. Here’s what I came up with.

First, I diecut some circles from an A2 panel of white cardstock. I then lined my panel up with my A2 white cardbase and then traced the circles onto the cardbase with a pencil. Next ink blended 3 different shades of ink over each traced circle using a mini ink blending tool. I then diecut 3 of the snowflakes from the Funky Flakes Fri-Die set 3 times each and then glued each set together using a liquid adhesive. I then stamped and silver heat embossed a sentiment from the Snowy Sayings Stamp Set.

Next, I adhered a piece of acetate to the backside of my panel and then constructed wells with foam tape around each circle on the back of the panel. I then filled each well with silver glitter and silver sequins and then peeled the backing off the foam tape and stick my panel onto my card base.  Lastly I adhered my snowflakes onto the acetate with some liquid adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed and you with join the Christmas fun over at the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge Blog!

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #177

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #177

Hello everyone! It’s time for a new challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays Challenge Blog! This time it’s a tic-tac-toe challenge! Yay!

These are always so fun! I love looking at everyone’s projects and trying to figure out which three elements they chose!

I went across the bottom and chose shaker card, rainbow and add texture. And here’s my creation.

First I diecut six petals into a white A2 panel using the leaf die from the Posies Fri-Die. I then repeatedly stamped and white embossed panel using a stamp from the Zigs & Zags stamp set. I then constructed my shaker by adhering a panel of acetate behind the diecut petals. Then I constructed wells on the back of the panel around the petals with doubled up foam tape.

I then filled the wells with a rainbow of sequins and then sealed up the back of my panel with another A2 panel. Lastly, I adhered the panel to my top-folding card base then added a stamped and white embossed sentiment strip which I created using the Wonderful Words stamp set. I also added a large white sequin to the center of the flower.

I hope you enjoyed and will give this challenge a try yourself, which way will you go?
