Morgan Burnett CLE SS
Browns' Morgan Burnett: Undergoes surgery
9m agoBurnett underwent surgery to address his torn Achilles on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Burnett sustained the injury during last Thursday's loss to the Browns and moved to injured reserve earlier Tuesday, and he'll now be able to begin the recovery process. Justin Burris is expected to fill in at strong safety for the Browns in his absence.

Lavonte David TB OLB
Buccaneers' Lavonte David: Another strong tackle tally
1h agoDavid posted six tackles (five solo) in the Buccaneers' 34-17 loss to the Saints on Sunday.
David tied with multiple teammates for second in tackles on the night, and he's now recorded at least six stops in five consecutive games. The veteran is averaging a solid 7.6 tackles per contest overall, and he also boasts an interception, forced fumble and fumble recovery apiece. David is making less impact plays overall during his first year in Todd Bowles' 3-4 defense, but he remains a solid IDP asset due to his consistent tackling.
-
Ndamukong Suh TB NT
Buccaneers' Ndamukong Suh: Disruptive in loss
1h agoSuh recorded four solo tackles, including two for loss, in the Buccaneers' 34-17 loss to the Saints on Sunday.
Suh was also credited with a quarterback hit and has been more active overall in the last two games. The veteran tackle had also notched his first full sack of the season in Week 10 versus the Cardinals and has multiple stops in three straight overall. However, Suh remains well off pace of his usual tackle numbers, dulling his IDP value.
-
Devontae Booker DEN RB
Broncos' Devontae Booker: Gains four yards in loss
1h agoBooker gain four yards on his lone rush of Sunday's 27-23 loss in Minnesota. He was unable to bring in either of his targets.
Booker's five offensive snaps Sunday were three more than he had in the previous nine games of the season combined and he now has a touch in each of the last two weeks. That's what counts as progress for the veteran back, who has been relegated to exclusively special teams duty for much of the season. Still, so long as Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman are healthy, Booker probably won't get much more than a touch or two as a third-down back Sunday against Buffalo's stout defense.
-
Tavon Austin DAL WR
Cowboys' Tavon Austin: Catchless in win
1h agoAustin was unable to haul in his only target of Sunday's 35-27 win over the Lions.
Austin's 30 offensive snaps were his second most this season, but it didn't stop him from being held catchless for the fourth consecutive game. Austin offers some gadgetry and has a rushing touchdown on the season, but as a low-volume receiver with just two red-zone touches this season he's a huge risk. That is especially so Sunday against New England's second-ranked pass defense.
-
Jakobi Meyers NE WR
Patriots' Jakobi Meyers: Targeted twice in win
1h agoMeyers caught one of his two targets for a seven-yard gain during Sunday's 17-10 win over the Eagles.
Meyers rebounded from his one-offensive-snap, no-target outing in Week 9 with a 19-snap, one-catch game against the Eagles. Granted, that total is far from noteworthy from a fantasy perspective, but Meyers has shown to be serviceable when given the opportunity -- especially as an undrafted rookie. He may get it Sunday as the Patriots head into Week 12 potentially missing Phillip Dorsett (concussion) and with a somewhat hobbled Mohamed Sanu (ankle). Depending on their health, Meyers could see a few more targets against Dallas' seventh-ranked pass defense.
-
Chris Martin ATL RP
Braves' Chris Martin: Re-signs with Braves
5h agoMartin (oblique) signed a two-year, $14 million deal with the Braves on Tuesday.
Martin was acquired by the Braves from the Rangers ahead of the trade deadline, and he posted a 4.08 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 37:5 K:BB across 17.2 innings after the trade. The 33-year-old went down in Game 1 of the NLDS with left oblique tightness and missed the rest of the series before hitting free agency, but the new contract indicates the injury shouldn't impact his status entering spring training. Martin's 2.3 percent walk rate in 2019 tied with Josh Tomlin for the league lead among qualified relievers. The Braves will enter 2020 with a crowded bullpen with Mark Melancon, Will Smith, Luke Jackson and Shane Greene all potentially in the mix for high-leverage work.
-
Tucker Davidson ATL SP
Braves' Tucker Davidson: Protected from Rule 5 draft
7h agoDavidson was added to the Braves' 40-man roster Tuesday.
Davidson's contract was selected in order to protect him from the Rule 5 draft. The 23-year-old lefty spent the bulk of last season with Double-A Mississippi, where he recorded an excellent 2.03 and a 27.2 percent strikeout rate over 21 starts. In four starts for Triple-A Gwinnett late in the year, his ERA stayed strong at 2.84, but his strikeout rate collapsed to 14.6 percent. He likely still has some work to do at that level.
-
Jasseel De La Cruz ATL RP
Braves' Jasseel De La Cruz: Added to 40-man roster
7h agoDe La Cruz's contract was selected by the Braves on Tuesday.
De La Cruz made his debut in Double-A last season, and he recorded a 3.83 ERA with 73 strikeouts over 87 innings at that level. While his development is progressing nicely, his addition to the 40-man roster is likely only to protect him from the Rule 5 Draft. The 22-year-old will likely return to the minors to begin the 2020 season.
-
Cristian Pache ATL LF
Braves' Cristian Pache: Added to 40-man roster
7h agoPache was added to the 40-man roster Tuesday.
Pache is a very talented prospect, though the majority of that talent comes on the defensive side of the ball, where he's considered an excellent center fielder. He posted a mediocre 92 wRC+ in 26 games for Triple-A Gwinnett in 2019 but had a much stronger 134 wRC+ (easily his best mark at any level) in 104 games for Double-A Mississippi. Pache only just turned 21 years old Tuesday, so he has plenty of time to improve at the plate, though his defensive chops could earn him a big-league role before his bat is fully ready.
-
William Contreras ATL C
Braves' William Contreras: Contract selected by Braves
7h agoContreras' contract was selected by the Braves on Tuesday.
Although the 21-year-old was effective in the minors last season, his addition to the 40-man roster is likely only to protect him from the Rule 5 Draft. In 110 games between the High-A and Double-A levels last season, Contreras hit .255/.315/.354 with six home runs and 39 RBI.
-
Felipe Vazquez PIT RP
Pirates' Felipe Vazquez: Facing 21 new charges
8h agoFlorida prosecutors filed 21 new charges against Vazquez on Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
Police seized an iPhone and a MacBook Pro they say belonged to Vazquez, and a search of those devices led to the additional charges; 10 counts of child pornography, 10 counts of unlawful contact with a minor and a single charge of corruption of minors. Vazquez was originally arrested in September for engaging in sexual activity with a minor and was subsequently placed on the restricted list by MLB. He is being held without bail.

Jrue Holiday NO PG
Pelicans' Jrue Holiday: Posts 22 points, 10 dimes in win
14m agoHoliday tallied 22 points (10-18 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 10 assists and five rebounds in 35 minutes during Tuesday's 115-104 win over the Trail Blazers.
Holiday has scored at least 22 points in three of the last four games, this after being limited to 19 or less in each of the first eight tilts this season. He has also logged three double-doubles across the last six games while Lonzo Ball (hip) has been out compared to zero through the first six tilts of 2019-20. Having broken out of his early season slump, Holiday will look to keep it rolling during Thursday's matchup versus the Suns.
-
Nicolo Melli NO PF
Pelicans' Nicolo Melli: Well-rounded line in Tuesday's win
21m agoMelli finished with 14 points (4-10 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 5-5 FT), six rebounds, four assists and three steals in 27 minutes during Tuesday's 115-104 win over the Trail Blazers.
Melli was extremely impressive while earning six more minutes than fellow rookie center Jaxson Hayes, who drew the start in place of Derrick Favors (back spasms). Melli amassed career highs in rebounding and assists while matching his best steal total, and he has also earned at least 27 minutes in three straight games. If Favors remains sidelined for Thursday's matchup versus the Suns, Melli could be in line to see lots of minutes once again.
-
Jaxson Hayes NO C
Pelicans' Jaxson Hayes: Another solid showing in win
26m agoHayes had nine points (3-8 FG, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, three blocks and two steals in 21 minutes during Tuesday's 115-104 win over the Trail Blazers.
Hayes continues to show steady progress, and he matched his career high block total, which he just set in Sunday's win over the Warriors. Moreover, Hayes also matched his career high in steals. It's unclear how long Derrick Favors (back spasms) will remain sidelined, but Hayes seems likely to continue holding down the fort as the starting center until Favors rejoins the rotation.
-
Kenrich Williams NO SG
Pelicans' Kenrich Williams: Another superb rebounding effort
32m agoWilliams recorded eight points (2-3 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 13 rebounds, three steals, one assist and one block in 34 minutes during Tuesday's 115-104 win over the Trail Blazers.
Williams has hauled in double-digit boards in four of the last five games, including a season high in this one. Furthermore, this is the third time the sophomore forward has swiped three steals through 14 appearances this season. He's absolutely everywhere on the defensive end, and he's a capable passer, ball-handler and spot-up shooter as well. It remains to be seen how involved he will be once Zion Williamson (knee) joins the rotation in the next month or so, but Williams is certainly making the case that he deserves a steady role going forward.
-
Kyle Kuzma LAL PF
Lakers' Kyle Kuzma: Questionable to return
37m agoKuzma (eye) is questionable to return to Tuesday's matchup against the Thunder, Bill Oram of The Athletic reports.
Kuzma got poked in the eye during the first half of Tuesday's game. Even if he returns, he could end up on the injury report ahead of Friday's game against the Thunder.
-
Brandon Ingram NO SF
Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Scores 21 in Tuesday's victory
39m agoIngram generated 21 points (8-20 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block in 35 minutes during Tuesday's 115-104 win over the Trail Blazers.
Ingram returned to the lineup following a four-game absence due to knee soreness and looked fully healthy in this one. He attacked the rim, made plays on the defensive end and matched Jrue Holiday for the team high in minutes. Expect Ingram to remain in attack mode during Thursday's tilt versus the Suns.
-
Michael Stone CGY D
Flames' Michael Stone: Shows physicality
4m agoStone had four hits in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Avalanche.
Stone has been pressed into duty on the second pairing with injuries to T.J. Brodie (undisclosed) and Travis Hamonic (lower body). Stone has only two points in 10 contests, but he's added 19 hits and 10 blocked shots.
-
Jay Beagle VAN C
Canucks' Jay Beagle: Limited ice time in first game back
4m agoBeagle (undisclosed) had two shots on goal and two PIM in Tuesday's 6-1 loss to Dallas.
The 34-year-old received less than 12 minutes of playing time after having missed the previous three games with whatever had been ailing him. Beagle has never been much of an offensive contributor and has produced just one goal and two assists in 19 games this season.
-
Jayson Megna COL RW
Avalanche's Jayson Megna: Records two blocks
4m agoMegna posted a minus-1 rating with two blocks and a hit in a 3-2 victory against the Flames on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old continues to be pointless and hasn't recorded an NHL point since playing with the Canucks in 2016-17. He has a minus-1 rating, seven hits and four blocks in seven games.
-
Brandon Davidson CGY D
Flames' Brandon Davidson: Not much in season debut
6m agoDavidson blocked two shots and skated 12:29 in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Avalanche.
Davidson worked with Oliver Kylington on the third defense pairing in the contest. Davidson drew into the lineup due to injuries to T.J. Brodie (undisclosed) and Travis Hamonic (lower body). Once of those players can return, the 28-year-old would likely return to the press box or AHL Stockton.
-
T.J. Tynan COL C
Avalanche's T.J. Tynan: Still pointless
7m agoTynan went without a point or shot in a 3-2 victory against the Flames on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old has appeared in six NHL games this season, and he's still searching for his first point. He played in three games during the 2016-17 season as well, and didn't tally a point in any of those contests either. Tynan doesn't shoot much or engage in anything physically. With virtually no statistics, Tynan isn't useful in even the deepest of leagues.
-
Bo Horvat VAN C
Canucks' Bo Horvat: Breaks goal drought in loss
7m agoHorvat scored a goal on six shots in Vancouver's 6-1 loss to Dallas on Tuesday.
It was Horvat's seventh goal of the season but his first since Oct. 30, snapping a nine-game drought that spanned the entire month of November to date. Horvat had a nice October (6g, 5a) but has cooled considerably. Despite the recent dip in productivity, Horvat is still on pace for a fourth straight 20-goal season and should land closer to 30 when all is said and done.
