Maintenance for zyBooks in Canvas on December 18, 2024

On Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 11:00pm ET to Thursday, December 19, 1:00am ET, zyBooks will be conducting scheduled maintenance. During the maintenance window, all zyBooks services will be unavailable.

Kritik Group Sync Feature Upgrade on December 19, 2024

On December 19th, 2024, between 12:00AM – 1:00 AM ET, the FIU Canvas team will be upgrading Kritik LTI in Canvas. This upgrade introduces a group sync feature that lets instructors sync their Canvas student groups into Kritik seamlessly. As a reminder, Kritik can only be utilized in fully online (mode I) courses.

McGraw Hill Connect Advantage Update on December 19, 2024

On December 19th, 2024, from 8:00am to 9:00am ET, the FIU Canvas Team will update the McGraw Hill Connect Advantage in Canvas. During this time McGraw Hill Connect will be unavailable. This upgrade will enable instructors to utilize the tool from their Canvas course navigation as well as the modules index page. If you are currently utilizing the tool from the modules index page, you will not have to take any action.

Vista Higher Learning Maintenance on December 20, 2024

On Friday, December 20, 2024, from 5:00am to 6:00am ET, we will be updating the Vista Higher Learning LTI, by removing the “Launch VHLCentral” tool link by default from the course navigation in FIU Canvas. During this time, Vista Higher Learning may not be available in Canvas. Once the update is complete, instructors using Vista Higher Learning in any of their course(s) must re-enable the tool in the navigation of each Canvas course in order to use it.
