Five things we learned in HBBA Series 3

As Heathrow: Britain’s Busiest Airport returns for a fourth series, here’s our pick of the best clips from Series 3 (and what we learned from them).
Profile: Peter, Airside Works Coordinator

We meet Peter for the first time in Episode 3 of Series 4 with the huge task of coordinating the movement of a giant crane across a live runway. Thankfully Peter has many years of experience and completes the task without a hitch and goes home to celebrate his son’s birthday.
Profile: Ian, Senior Airfield Officer

We first meet Ian in Episode 2 of HBBA as he learns to marshal an aircraft the old-fashioned way, under the watchful eyes of mentor Simon. We asked Ian about his job in Airside Safety and the career change that brought him to Heathrow.
Profile: Border Force Officers Bob and Kat

‘Border Force Bob’ and his colleague Katryn (Kat) are members of the team responsible for securing the UK border at Heathrow. In the first episode of HBBA Series 4 we followed Bob’s investigation into the case of a Brazilian student visiting his expat brother. Kat was subsequently seen investigating a passenger newly arrived from Nigeria.
Profile: Sue, Passenger Experience Manager

We last saw Sue in Series 3 of HBBA, comforting a tearful traveller and using her own money to help a stranded passenger on his way.

Sue, a Passenger Experience Manager (PEM), returns to the series in 2018. We asked her about life on the front line at Heathrow.
Profile: Demetrios, Passenger Experience Manager

Demetrios — one of the most likeable and friendly characters at Heathrow — is back on screen this season. Demi is one of our Passenger Experience Managers, helping to make passenger journeys better and easier along every step of the way.
