Hi I’m Barbara

I live in Canberra. When I’m not working, I love to surf and to sew. My mum taught me to sew a long time ago. We made bell-bottomed trousers and shift dresses with chain belts. I was prompted to start sewing again when I wanted a special dress for my wedding. I ended up with two wedding dresses and a hobby that I love.

My aim with this blog is to document my sewing and creative adventures, develop my skills and connect with the sewing community. I’ve now got way more clothes than I need, but I just love making clothes. I’ve started re-fashioning my early makes and making things from scraps, which is very satisfying.
