On June 26th the Supreme Court decided to hear the challenge to Donald Trump’s travel ban during the next session and decided to let parts of the ban move forward while the case is pending.
A few days ago a Federal judge in Hawaii decided that the Trump administration misinterpreted the decision and was implementing the ban in too narrow a way so he decided to open it up a little bit. Here is more:
a federal judge’s decision to allow grandparents, grandchildren, aunts, uncles and other relatives of people in the U.S. to circumvent the Trump administration’s travel ban policy.
The order, issued Thursday evening local time in Honolulu by Judge Derrick Watson in Hawaii, deals a temporary blow to one of the president’s signature initiatives. It also prohibits the administration from blocking refugees with a commitment from a resettlement agency in the U.S., a move that could revive the flow of refugee admissions this year.
This certainly sounds like a Federal judge creating policy instead of interpreting law, in fact I would say this is a classic example. Jeff Sessions, in announcing his decision to appeal this to the Supreme Court, agrees:
It has been entertaining, although at some times frustrating, to see the leftist McCarthyites melt down after the improbable loss of Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election but Hillary Clinton ally Paul Begala has taken it to a new level by claiming Donald Trump should be considering bombing Russia. So, because his candidate lost he is now advocating the possibility of attacking a foreign nation and he claims Donald Trump’s supporters should be on board because his victory is now tainted. Apparently the justification for an act of war have been dramatically reduced because his candidate lost. I remember when, not all that long ago, the Democratic party was the anti-war party but I guess that has changed.
I still see faded “war is not the answer” bumper stickers on leftist’s cars but now a top ally of Hillary Clinton is seemingly condoning an act of war against a world superpower simply because Hillary Clinton lost an unlosable election, my how times (and standards) have changed…

All the talk in Washington these days is about Russia election collusion but despite Donald Trump Jr.’s damaging email release yesterday there is still no solid proof any collusion occurred. Do not get me wrong, I am not defending the President’s son because these emails showed he was willing to collude with Russia but because he was duped there is still no proof any collusion took place.
The left, and many of the establishment Republicans are up in arms that Russia may have interfered in the election but the left has said nothing about the possibility that Russia was and is colluding with, and funding, leftist environmentalist groups in order to discredit natural gas fracking to benefit their nation’s energy exportation.

Donald Trump Jr. releases his email chain about Russia
There really is only one big story tonight and of course it is the news that Donald Trump Jr. released his email chain about his meeting with a Russian lawyer. This all started yesterday when the New York Times broke the story of the meeting.
Here is more on today’s events:
Donald Trump Jr. on Tuesday released a stunning chain of emails detailing his conversations about setting up a campaign meeting with a Russian lawyer who had offered compromising information on Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
The information “would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father,” reads one of the emails from Rob Goldstone, who acted as an intermediary to set up the meeting.
“This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump,” wrote Goldstone.
In a June 3, 2016, email released on Twitter, referring to the information on Clinton, Trump Jr. told Goldstone: “If it’s what you say I love it especially later in the summer.”
In another email, Goldstone suggested the information about Clinton could be given to then-candidate Donald Trump through Rhona Graff, his longtime assistant.
“I can also send this info to your father via Rhona, but it is ultra sensitive so wanted to send to you first,” Goldstone wrote.
Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the DNC met with Ukrainian officials during the campaign
The mainstream media, the Democrats, and social media have been having a field day with the news that Donald Trump Jr. met with a Russian lawyer in order to get dirt on Hillary Clinton. There is no doubt this is big news, as I wrote about here.
However what these entities are forgetting is that back in January Politico reported that Hillary Clinton allies did much the same thing with Ukraine in order to get dirt on Donald Trump. Here is what Politico reported back then:
James Comey’s memos contained classified information
Earlier today it was reported here that more than half of James Comey’s personal memos he took of conversations between himself and Donald Trump did indeed contain classified information. Here is more:
More than half of the memos former FBI Director James Comey wrote as personal recollections of his conversations with President Trump about the Russia investigation have been determined to contain classified information, according to interviews with officials familiar with the documents.
This revelation raises the possibility that Comey broke his own agency’s rules and ignored the same security protocol that he publicly criticized Hillary Clinton over in the waning days of the 2016 presidential election.
Comey testified last month before the Senate Intelligence Committee that he considered the memos to be personal documents and that he shared at least one of them with a friend. He asked that friend, a law professor at Columbia University, to leak information from one memo to the news media in hopes of increasing pressure to get a special prosecutor named in the Russia case after Comey was fired as FBI director.
Needless to say the right ran with the “news” that James Comey leaked classified information and should be prosecuted, it was all over Facebook today. Donald Trump even tweeted this:
The New York Times is reporting that Donald Trump Jr., Paul Manafort, and Jared Kushner met with a Russian lawyer during the campaign just two weeks after Donald Trump won the Republican nomination. Here is more:
President Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., was promised damaging information about Hillary Clinton before agreeing to meet with a Kremlin-connected Russian lawyer during the 2016 campaign, according to three advisers to the White House briefed on the meeting and two others with knowledge of it.
The meeting was also attended by his campaign chairman at the time, Paul J. Manafort, and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Mr. Manafort and Mr. Kushner only recently disclosed the meeting, though not its content, in confidential government documents described to The New York Times.
The meeting — at Trump Tower on June 9, 2016, two weeks after Donald J. Trumpclinched the Republican nomination — points to the central question in federal investigations of the Kremlin’s meddling in the presidential election: whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians. The accounts of the meeting represent the first public indication that at least some in the campaign were willing to accept Russian help.
