Comments about Mozilla Firefox as a Alternative to Google Chrome
ChrisWaygMore secure, better privacy, very good plugins.
16r2_d1000Probably the best browser there is. Much better than Chrome. It is configured for privacy and is very fast. Also, Mozilla does a much better job than Google at making sure that no malicious extensions get into their store.
6Positive comments and security
0freebikeriderA fast, highly customizable browser. The developer tools are second to none. Also, in all practicality, the only option, if you don't want to hand over monopoly to Google, by using Brave, which is based on Google code.
1Dark StormOpen Source and privacy focused . . . nuff said.

Brave Features

Comments about Brave as a Alternative to Google Chrome
John FastmanBrave is an effort to make a Chrome-like experience based on the Chromium code base and remove/block all the spyware Google put in to monitor your online activity. Brave is good, but it's not as good/flexible as Iridium.
8Brave is fast and has many built in features that are great
9CatarinaTelesWhile it shares 99% of chrome code base, it as advertisements enabled by default
9mahmoudmortada97Free and open-source and very fast and has ad-blocker
-1guntherBrave is based on Chromium, so feels very similar so Chrome, but has a ton of privacy-focused features including a built-in ad blocker. A lot of weird crypto integrations are a definite minus, but overall the best drop-in replacement from Chrome.

Vivaldi is extremely customizable, presenting a wide range of settings and built-in features designed to put the user in control.
Vivaldi Features

Comments about Vivaldi as a Alternative to Google Chrome
Sascha SmitVivaldi is a lot more customisable than Chrome, Vivaldi has a lot more features than Chrome, Vivaldi is more privacy focused and it's based on the Blink engine (also known as Chromium) so switching to Vivaldi is very easy + it supports Chrome extensions.
2It is very customizable, fast, and has built in tracker and ad blocking
12laurabrownI like Vivaldi still but I'm looking to switch. It has a couple of small glitchy things that just keep bugging me. One, when I highlight a URL it gets cut off unless I click it a second time. Only Vivaldi does this. Second, opening a new tab is not automatically in the background, or not. I have not found a setting to make them all open in the background. I just have to remember the extra click each time. Small things, but features I use a lot so they become kind of annoying.
0Gustavo Silva PinheiroEle é uma excelente alternativa por suportar tranquilamente as extensões do chrome e tem diversas outras funcionalidades, como pomodoro, calendário, print, gerenciador de emails e mais.
-1Kelson VA power-user ultra-customizable internet suite including web, mail and news, built on the same engine as Chrome. Like Opera used to be, but with modern tech and capabilities.

The Tor software protects you by bouncing your communications around a distributed network of relays run by volunteers all around the world: it prevents somebody watching your Internet connection from learning what sites you visit, it prevents the sites you visit from learning...
Tor Browser Features

Comments about Tor Browser as a Alternative to Google Chrome
termoyerIt's one of the best browsers in terms of privacy. It routes your traffic over around 3-5 tor-points before it reaches the intended server. So your IP and other browser information is not directly visible to anyone.
16riveravaldezFirefox-based, with privacy/anonymity.
11Way less secure than normal browsers when used regularly like when logging into accounts
1CylinderIncredibly secure, routes your connection many times, and uses Tor. Easy to reset the session. The downsides are the slow connections, websites not working properly (since there is no tracking at all), broken websites, and the fact Tor Browser isn't hiding the fact you're using it.
0LinuxDogeYou could use Tor-Browser every day. It is extremely hardened and you should think about running a relay, as you would otherwise suck a lot of resources of good People. It is hardened Firefox, you can add Addons (warning: they can deanonymize you!), Search engines, collect bookmarks, set the homepage, and a lot more.

Comments about Chromium as a Alternative to Google Chrome
bohdanfetsoIt's more lighter then chrome and have all functions of it
10User2778798Without the google branding, it is the same efficient code.
5williamneisIt doesn't have a proper installer for Windows. It's very hard to install it compared to Google Chrome. On the other hand, on Linux platform both are easy to install.
14Kelson VSame engine, same experience, mostly the same features as Chrome, but without being tied directly into Google services.
0nao_robotCan't play video and login into a few services but otherwise fine

Rebuilt from the ground up using Chromium, the new Microsoft Edge brings you world-class compatibility and performance, the security and privacy you deserve, and new features designed to bring you the best of the web.
Microsoft Edge Features

Comments about Microsoft Edge as a Alternative to Google Chrome
Cody PertuitI've switched over from Chrome completely. I find that the Chromium based edge is much better than Chrome. Less resource usage on my machine.
8ichimitchA few years ago if you told me that my main browser would be a Microsoft product I would have laughed in your face; but here we are. I love the features of this browse.
0John FastmanIf you want to use a browser's Incognito mode (called Private Browsing in Firefox and Safari), you don't want where you go to be recorded in files stored on your computer. Microsoft Edge DOES store info about where you've been, even if you've been there using its InPrivate mode. (http://betanews.com/2016/01/30/stop-using-microsoft-edges-inprivate-mode-if-you-value-your-privacy/). Switch to an open source browser. There are plenty of good ones.
32Lai Curagawas good but they added so many features make it bloated. They should make a "lite" version and I would consider using it.
0tranduchieu235zit's pretty underrated for sure

Opera Features

Comments about Opera as a Alternative to Google Chrome
RefalmIt's like Chrome. But without the resource hogging and Google crap.
7Great light browser which has great features VPN, adblocking, RSS Personal News..
14LinuxDogeShady. Not more shady than Chrome, but likely as bad.
8ratsniffaTons of features and great UI, but was bought out by a Chinese company, so it might not respect your privacy as much as it seems.
1yhnaveinLooks great, can easily handle hundreds of tabs open, has an ability to group tabs into manageable sessions, powerful sidebar where you can have your music and chat apps located. It's a really powerful and battle-tested browser.
