The inaugural chair of the new lobby group, Seafood Industry Australia, says fishers are able to live with the revised plans for a network of marine reserves. In total, the government says it will protect 36 per cent of oceans, which is well above the 10 per cent United Nations target. Veronica Papacosta says after a decade of uncertainty, she's concerned environmental lobby groups are set to oppose the implementation of a plan which represents reasonable outcome for the environment and commercial operators.
