    Translators, have you ever done a data review of how you spend your time/earn your income? I've finally tried after meaning to for ages (may as well do sth with that Further Maths A-level!) No graphs (yet) but some musing on where all my time goes

    This year's International Booker features two translations from Arabic, including one by personal favourite translation inspiration Marilyn Booth 😍

    Delighted by the Arabic titles on this year's longlist, by poet-shortstoryist & novelist Jokha al-Harthi, trans. (respectively) Jonathan Wright & the under-appreciated Marilyn Booth. Looks like a fantastic list (well still a bit wary of The Death Of Murat Idrissi)
