    Protip: if you override default focus styles with a box-shadow or similar, consider adding: outline: 5px solid transparent; That will ensure a visible focus state in Windows high contrast mode.

    Ooooo I think this is clever. If you need to link to an SVG file rather than use inline <svg>, the temptation is to use it as a background-image. But if it’s single-color, you can use it as a `mask` instead, which makes changing the color way easier.

    Whenever someone talks about a11y (accessibility), replace that word with 'design' and see if the sentence still makes sense. "We're going to add a bunch of design to this project" WHAT?

    dev: "we're going to add a bunch of a11y to this project" me: "what do you mean by that?" dev: "there's another project that has a bunch of a11y in it. we're going to just use that as a starting point." me: "what do you mean by that?"
