    Not if advocacy for two states acts as a foil to prevent accountability for actual policies violating human rights and international law. Call for US sanctions on Israel for such policies and then maybe it can be taken seriously, until then its empty rhetoric.

    Sorry, Yousef, won’t take lessons from you on progressive values, support for our ally Israel, or advocacy for a two-state solution in which both Palestinians and Israelis can have their rights, security, and peaceful future fulfilled. Those ARE progressive values.

    AIPAC is a bipartisan group whose mission is “to strengthen, protect and promote the U.S.-Israel relationship in ways that enhance the security of the United States and Israel.” What does it mean if not one Democrat Presidential candidate has chosen to attend? We should ask them.

    I’ve been fighting Democratic policies that I thought bad for Israel and anti-semitism on left and right a lot longer than Donald Trump. So perhaps I have some standing to say that Trump calling the Democrats “anti-Jewish” is not just ludicrous but is contemptible and dangerous.
