For nearly forty years, America has been entertained by the trials and tribulations of Pine Valley, Pennsylvania. On 5 January 1970, ABC premiered one of their most famous soap operas, "All My Children." The show is famous for dealing with many socially relevant issues reflective of the times. Such issues include abortion, drug use, the Vietnam War, homosexuality, and rape. But it has always done it in a classy and intelligent way, which is why the show has lasted so long and remained so popular. Through good times and bad times, the show has always stuck through - until 2011 when ABC pulled the plug and the show was intended to move online. The plans were, however, suspended until early 2013 when the show was finally revived again, only to be canceled after its first revived season on the air.moreless

Welcome friends and music lovers. Here lies the website of From the Basement - A sort of music show / labour of love produced by a small group of dedicated individuals. We shoot it all on HD video and the sound is produced by me. The whole emphasis of the show is about being artist friendly and making our bands as comfortable as possible so that they can give great performances without the usual agony of TV promo which everyone has to do but no one seems to enjoy. TV world is a pretty hostile environment for your average musician to have to walk into and bare his soul on cue.. It also doesn't hurt that a lot of the people we've filmed are friends or people we've worked with before so they trust us and know that we understand what recording music is about as well as making good TV. All in all I think it all adds up to something unique and special which I don't feel happening anywhere else in either the music side of mainstream TV or online.moreless

Premiering on July 1968, One Life to Live has followed the lives of the fictional city of Llanview, P.A. for over forty years. Originally the focus of the show was on the wealthy Lord family and the "normal" Woleks and Rileys. Although the Lord family remains very much a part of the show, the focus has moved to the Buchanans, Rappaports, Gannons, Holdens and Cramers, among others. Over the years One Life to Live has featured stories on interracial couples, personality disorders, drug addiction, gang violence, cultism, rape, time travel and even out of body experiences. Located only a short distance away from Pine Valley, there have been many crossovers over the years between One Life to Live (Llanview) and All My Children (Pine Valley), including a 2004 baby switch story that has spanned most of the year, and involved One Life to Live's Cramers and Buchanans and All My Children's Chandlers, Kanes and Martins. Following its cancellation on ABC, the show was originally intended to move on to an on-line network, but the plans for that were scrapped until early 2013, when the show was finally revived. Due to a lawsuit with ABC which was filed back in September that lead to Prospect Park to cancel both All My Children and One Life to Live.moreless

    Channel 101: NY (ended 2007)
Sexual Intercourse: American Style was a web series created by Mitch Magee and aired on Channel 101: NY. An early hit for the web-based channel, there are seven episodes, each a few minutes long, presented like comedy sketches, plus a "season finale" special. Despite the evocative name, there is no nudity, only some crude language that some viewers may find objectionable. The series focuses on two couples: Clark (Will Hines), Beth (Eliza Skinner), Fran (Julie Klausner), and Tom (Matthieu Cornillon), although none really stand out from the others. There are also several one-time characters. The overall theme is of dark comedy, often starting with something seemingly straightforward and innocent, and then completely changing direction. For example, one episode features the four main characters covered in balloons, eager to pop them one by one to show their nakedness underneath, only to begin mourning the meaninglessness of life. Fans of Kids in the Hall and Human Giant should find this series to their liking. The series was produced by Upright Citizens Brigade.moreless
