Artist Biography Project



I am starting to see some great artist biography projects coming together this week in the art room. All biography projects are due Wednesday, December 19th. Here is HOW TO TURN THEM IN:

PowerPoint: Share with Ms. Heyser via Office 365 - [email protected]
Flyer: On paper - turn it into your class box. Digital - email link to [email protected]
Write: On paper - turn it into your class box. Digital - email  to [email protected]
Podcast: Email the link to [email protected]
Blabberize/Other: Email the link to [email protected]
Music: Email the link to [email protected]
Make Art: Turn it into your class box
Act: Arrange a time to perform or record. Email the link to  recording to [email protected]
Movie: Email the link to [email protected]

*Please do not send these to my school email address!

If  you have any questions or need help sharing your project please see me by the end of the day Wednesday. If you need extra help or more time to finish please come to Mav Block on Tuesday, 12/18.  I am excited to see your work!

End of Course Wrap Up


As the end of the quarter approaches there are a couple of deadlines that you need to know. 

* Sculpture Test Recovery - test retake is Monday, 12/17/18

* All late projects need to be turned in (put it in my hand not the box) by Wednesday, 12/19/18

* Artist Biography projects are due Wednesday, 12/19/18 - if you chose a digital format please email the link to [email protected]

Sculpture Quiz

The Crayon Lab is sculpting! All students (except VC1) will be having a sculpture vocabulary quiz on Tuesday, December 4th, 2018.

You should have better notes in your sketchbook from our introduction to sculpture presentation. Please use them to study!

Sculpture Quiz Definitions
1.      Modeling - soft material that is built up 
2.      Carving - material is chipped or carved away
3.      Casting  - metal is poured into a mold
4.      Assembling - variety of materials joined together
5.      Kinetic - sculpture that contains moving parts
6.      Installation - site specific art that transforms space          
7.      Representational - art that has recognizable subject matter 
8.      Abstract - art that is a simplified form of reality  
9.      Non-objective - no recognizable subject matter
10.   Relief -  forms project from flat surface

Progress Report Grades



Progress reports are about to go home. If you have a "missing" or "incomplete" grade you need to be sure to complete your work and turn it in! I will be replacing missing grades with zeros before the end of the quarter grades.
