Sweet Bee Shaker Card

I have no idea what hit me.

For some reason I really wanted to make a bee card.

I had this idea in my head and it came together very nicely.  That doesn’t always happen.

I have some tips and tricks for you on how to make the background for this card and how I kept the shaker area see through, so that you could see the background.

The sentiments in the Shooting Star stamp set are so cute and tiny.  I had to find a way to really are the sentiment stand out.

I used a blender pen for all of my coloring and I think you’ll really love how simple it is.

Luv 2 Stamp Group Presenter Blog Hop 2 feat. Nailed It Bundle

I am hopping again with friends from the Luv 2 Stamp group.

I know all these Dad cards are a bit premature for Fathers Day, but really you could use them for birthday cards as well.

I used Kraft card stock to create the card base, and then used basic black archival ink to stamp all the tools.

The window over the card base was cute out using the Project Life framelits from Stampin’ UP!

Celebrate You Ink Blending and Dry Emboss Resist

Isn’t this card fun?

I love the bright colors and I love ink blending.

I made this card for my sister in law.  Her birthday is in a couple of days, but we celebrated it yesterday.  For her special day I signed us up to go to one of those paint nite things.  I am pretty excited about it.

We won’t do that until March 1st.

One of my favorite things to do on an ink blended background is spritz water.

The water pushes the ink away and leaves bleach spots where ever the water hits the paper.

The great thing about this technique and this card, is the simplicity.

Super simple but so pretty.  Lots of bang for your buck.
