Christmas Carrot Cake with Strawberries Santa

Ooooops……it’s ONE long year since I had not blogged. Gosh….that’s really way TOO long! Had been reminding myself too often to get back to blogging but it didn’t work…..*big sigh*. So sorry! But I must write something at least before Christmas this year which is only 3 days away. And…..here I am! But no, it’s not done yet until I hit the ‘publish’ button….*grin*. Read more

Salmon With Brandy Sauce And Roasted Vegetables

Salmon with brandy sauce and roasted vegetables

Christmas is here again! Time to put up the Christmas tree. My house looks empty without the Christmas tree. I had taken it out but haven’t had the time to put it up…..hmmm. Well, no problem if you have quite a perfectionist at home. My loving hubby decided to put up the tree himself……for ONCE! He knows that his nagging doesn’t work on me anymore now that the girls have left home. I was secretly delighted of course….*BIG grin*. Well Done! It was hard work for him!….haha. Read more

Ever feel like you just don’t want to do anything? Yes, I mean ANYTHING. Well that happens to me which is rather unusual and sounds really weird. Makes me sound not normal…..haha. Friends From Malaysia Visited

Wonderful meetup over food

I am so excited to write about this post. There’s so much to share with you. You already know from the title. I am truly very blessed this year because several friends from Malaysia came to visit, both blogger friends and non blogger friends. Just a few months ago Claire, from Caring Is Not Only Sharing, came to visit with her lovely sister-in-law. We had an awesome time. You can read about it at A Blogger From Malaysia Landed In Aberdeen Read more

Life Lessons From Badminton

The 3 happy winners

I have to admit that I am still in Cloud 9 after our team won this year’s Corporate Decathlon Badminton Competition last Saturday…..*BIG smiles*. It’s something that we look forward to every year. I think I had joined 5 times already and every year I find I played better than the previous year. That’s such a good feeling itself! By the way, don’t be mistaken. Don’t go ‘WOW!”….haha. I’m not a professional player, just an amateur one. See, that’s our happy team leader (top picture) in the centre. Doesn’t he look cute? By the way, he’s not that short. Just that the other 2 are TOO tall…..*big grin*. Everyone had a good laugh when this picture was taken….haha Read more

Easiest Peanut Cookie On Earth

Delicious peanut butter cookies

Wonderful to be back to Aberdeen again! I was away to visit my daughter again, the third trip in a very short time. This time was to help her move house. You can imagine the horror when I found that her new place had no internet and no tv while I was there! Sounds like I was living during the stone age time! That’s when I am even more thankful to places like McDonalds and Starbucks where I can sit as long as I want for just a cup of coffee while using the free wifi…..phew. Read more

My New Friends On My Trip

Wonderful mother-daughter bonding

A thousand apologies if I have been missing in action again! Too much travelling…..hmmm. I was away again to visit my daughter. She was very busy so I thought I would be a real blessing just being there to help her, at least cook healthy meals for her and give her lots of hugs to cheer her up. We had lots of fun together. That’s the heart of a mother that’s hard to explain, right?  Read more
