I am looking forward to the upcoming sketch class.  I hope you will be joining us!  It’s only $5 and you will get *8* brand new, never before seen, sketches and layouts!  Not to mention inspiration and support for getting those photos scrapped.

As always, you are welcome to adjust the sketches to meet your individual needs.  But if you want an idea of what’s coming in order to plan, here are the photo sizes I used on the sketches-

Sketch #1- One 4×6 H, Three 3×4’s V
Sketch #2- Three 4×6’s H (slightly trimmed)
Sketch #3- Three 4×4’s
Sketch #4- Two 4×6’s V
Sketch #5- Three 4×6’s H
Sketch #6- One 4×6 V, one 4×4

It’s the weekend!  I hope you are making some time to be crafty!  There’s been so much going on in the forum lately.  The members have been hosting a member crop with lots of fun challenges, tons of inspiration and posting some amazing layouts!

I know it’s been a while since I have updated the blog! And a long time since we have had any classes. Unfortunately, school, work and training schedules have gotten in the way. Not to mention we put our house up for sale, sold it and moved into an apartment in order to start building our forever home. Like I said, things have been a little busy.

BUT, I went to the scrapbook expo in Sandy yesterday and had a great day! I was able to meet two of our forum members (lexigirl and granola farms), shopped til I dropped and scrapped! I even have a new SKETCH CLASS in the works thanks to the encouragement and inspiration from these awesome ladies. I think the expo should be an I2S tradition! Maybe you will add it to your calendar to join us next April!!

Class opens this Wednesday! I want to be sure everyone understands that you do not need to do any watercoloring during this class! While I have watercolored the sketches for something fun and new, you can still scrap the way you have always scrapped! It’ll be fun to add the colors and different sketch designs to your arsenal of scrappy inspiration. 🙂

Have you signed up for our class yet? It starts next week! The sketches are in watercolor this time…they are super fun! We will also be learning tips to use watercolors on your projects…but of course, YOU DON’T HAVE TO! You don’t have to use any watercolors at all in class! You can use the inspiration from the sketches, tutorials, samples and colors to create your traditional layouts. 🙂

A few notes-
*We have a fun and different sketch class this month. I have colorful and fun sketches that I painted with watercolors. We will be using them for inspiration in a couple of ways during class. (**NOTE** You do not need to use watercolors in this class. You can scrapbook any way you would like to as always!) We have double the sketches and twice as much inspiration!
*The sketches will not have exact photo measurements. Nor will they always be perfectly 12×12 in size (Although most are very close.) They are all single pages (but you can stretch them as needed). They are not abstract, but we will be able to interpret them in different ways. (Don’t be scared…it’s going to be fun and inspirational!!)
*Class will open on August 12th with a warm-up sketch. Then two new sketches will be presented every day starting the 14th until the 20th. There will be 14 sketches plus a bonus for the warm-up.
*You will have until September 4th to finish up your layouts and upload them for a chance to win a fun prize.
