The busiest and most touristy plaza in Barcelona. There's usually an Airport Express bus direct to this square and back to airport for 8 or 10 Euros, which is really very convenient.

The New London Lighthouse is one of two Lighthouses when entering the Thames River in New London CT. It's on Pequot Avenue just past Mitchell College. Fun tip: Keep an eye out for Submarines as it's common to see them entering and exiting the river. They build them in the big Green building up ...

A neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro nestled on a hill and famous for its winding cobbled streets lined with mansions that were once home to the city's elite. It is now a favorite spot for artists and tourists.

Shorter hike about 3 miles round trip with about 600 feet elevation gain. Rough trail in some spots although still very accessible. This time of year flowing water and waterfall. There are quite a few hieroglyphics around the water. The downside is that it is so popular it can be very crowded ...

Matador state beach is a beautiful little place right off PCH in Malibu. Parking fills up if you do not get there before 11-12. $3/hr or $10/day. Pretty open in the morning but starts getting more populated later. Fun place to explore and take pictures.

Roosevelt Island

Roosevelt Island

Roosevelt Island, New York City, New York State
Beautiful views of the East River from all sides. This experiment in affordable middle-class housing feels quite suburban despite its proximity to Manhattan. Catch the tramway over (watch out for King Kong) and be sure to visit the FDR park.
