You guys know that I love eyeshadow palettes 😀 and this is my first from Urban Decay. The Naked Smoky. I bought the palette last September but I didn’t have the time to post it yet. I won’t post a detailed review cos thousands millions of bloggers have already done that. The early bird catches the worm and I’m not an early bird (obviously) I have read a few of them and most of ’em are extremely positive. “Omg I love this palette. It’s super gorgeous blah blah blah…“ “I was invited to the Urban Decay event“ … Shamed be he who thinks evil of it 😉 I have to admit that I had very high expectations of the palette.

Pros:

Hands down this it the most beautiful case I have ever bought. It contains 12 shades ranging from beige to dark blue/gray. Shimmery and matte shades. I love the colors a lot. That’s the reason why I have bought the palette. They are great to create the perfect smoky eye makeup.
The shimmery shades are easy to apply and blendable. Little or almost no fall out. Well that’s almost never the case with dark eyeshadows.

Cons:

I wish the matte shades were just as good. They are way harder to apply and to blend on. The thing that disappointed me the most was that the shades fade out after a short time! I would have expected long-lasting eyeshadows from Urban Decay.

Are the all bloggers that love this palette pretty little liars? No but I’m sure they used a primer. So why do I rant (a little) ? Cos all palettes work with a primer. Even the cheap ones. A palette that costs ca. 53€ should work without a primer as well. I like the Urban Decay Naked Smoky anyway but there are better eyeshadow palettes out there.
