Mini Wrap Journal Tutorial

Oh... My... Gooness!

(That's exactly how I say it...

"d" missing and all Southern like.)

Has it really been more than

TWO MONTHS

since I've blogged?!

What in the world has gotten ahold of me?!

I'm just going to be real honest, y'all

...sometimes I'm not sure if anyone even reads my blog.

I rarely get comments. And I gave up on the

little counter widget ages ago.

I was putting way too much value on my popularity

(for lack of a better word to address it.)

I have several personal issues keeping me preoccupied.

And the move we made back in August

seriously had me off my teeter-totter!

BUT... I think things are starting

to get back in balance... I think.

Not so much the personal items

but we are settling into our new home

(kind of)

and I keep feeling God's pull at me

to gather my whits and

have some stability again-

DESPITE my circumstances.

I am a BRAVE GIRL!

And I am a PRINCESS!

And BRAVE ROYALTY can move mountains!

So if you're with me, out there in cyberspace,

give me a little hello in the comments.

(Seriously, I would greatly appreciate the encouragement!)

And if the comments remain blank,

well... I will keep pushing the plow of purpose and

TRUDGE ON!

Creatively, of course.

Now... on with the show!

If you like all things planner-ish,

memory keeping, Bible journaling, art journaling,

doodling, note-taking and so on,

you are going to love the

MINI WRAP JOURNAL!

After you check out all the cute pics here,

hop on over to

Splitcoaststampers

and check out the step-by-step tutorial.

You can also view the video here...

Thank you for visiting today.

It's nice to be back.

I sincerely hope you have a

creative day!

Well, then...

photos just don't do these fun treats justice!

This is something you will want

Jillibean Soup and CardMaker Blog Hop

Are you in for a treat today!

FIRST... visit

Jillibean Soup

so that you can get in on the

amazing giveaway they have to offer!

Be sure to visit

CARDMAKER MAGAZINE

where all the fun begins.

Then check this out...

You should have made your way here from

Daniela's place on the web...

CREATE YOUR

EVERYDAY MEMORIES

and once you've taken a look at

all the goodie goodness here at

ALWAYS STAMPING',

you'll want to hop your way over to

SEAN FETTERMAN'S DESIGNS.

And just in case you get a bit lost

along the way, the entire hop list can be

found at the end of this post.

Now on with the show...

Jillibean Soup has some of the

CA-YOOTEST images for

your Christmas season.

And this hop is featuring their

fun and festive

SHAKER CUPS and SEQUINS.

Jillibean Soup even has the

perfect shaker-ready cards with

the opening already trimmed out and

ready for the shaker cups!

How great is that?!

How cute is that ornament?!

I decided this card would be a flat card...

no opening.

It simply flips over and that's the card.

Different and fun for the recipient.

This card opens to showcase

the pretty paper which covers

the fun little shaker cup opening.

And just look at how appropriate

this paper is for the inside of my shaker...

Before you go,

check out this pretty paper tip...

I love all kinds of decorative paper!

And I enjoy using current and available papers

as well as whatever I can get my hands on.

Old hymnals, songbooks, comics,

newspaper... if it's cool and

suits my need at the time,

PERFECT!

Have you heard of

Smash Books (by K&Co.)?

Of course you have!

How can you be a Paper Artist

and not seen these super fun journals?!

But just in case you've yet to see a

Smash Book, go look it up now!

They're so fun!!!

But they are also a bit out of date

for the paper crafts industry.

I recently scored the one seen here

for just $7.07!!! when they

usually cost between $15-20.

For that price I can use up all the

pretty paper inside for my

cards and scrapbooking ideas!

Genius, right?!

I found my delicious deal at

Blick's Art Supplies

so keep your bargain shopper eyes open!

Shaker Cards are SO super fun!

Keep hopping for more

super fun shaker card ideas!!!

Glue Dots and CardMaker Blog Hop

Have GLUE DOTS, we'll travel!

That's my motto!

Whether card making, scrapbooking,

or my fave... Bible journaling,

I love my personal travel paper arts kits!

These are little kits I put together

in super sweet compact compartments

to take with me when I travel long distances

or for when I have visits I know

I will be spending time

doing a considerable amount of waiting

such as the school pick up line,

doctor's appointments, etc.

I hope you enjoy this tip I have for you today

which features one of my all-time favorite products...

GLUE DOTS.

Mini Glue Dots, to be exact.

I have an entire storage unit for my Mini Glue Dots.

It's one of the products I use more than any other.

Be sure to hop along today's Blog Hop with

CARDMAKER MAGAZINE

(this link is where your creative journey begins)

(all blog hop links can be found at the end of this post)

to check out all of the amazing tips and ideas

we have to offer you today!

You should have softly landed here from

DANIELLE HUNTER

and then make your way next to

DAWN BARRETT.

Now... on with one of

my absolute fave things to do with my

GLUE DOTS!

I really hope you enjoy it :)

As most of you know,

I am a HUGE fan of

Bella Blvd and Illustrated Faith.

(scroll down to previous post to see my fandom)

When I purchase a set of their super adorable

Paper Pieces Die Cut Prompts,

the first thing I do is open the fun lil package and

then add a Mini Glue Dot to each die cut.

(see photo above)

I always have a journal with me.

Sometimes it's a note taker's journal,

sometimes it's my Bible journaling journal.

I like to add a transparency page

to the last page of all my journals.

This is the perfect place to add my

die cut pieces and little strips of Washi Tape.

You can see how I simply trim down

the transparency sheet to fit my journal

and then connect it to my journal page

with a long strip of Washi Tape.

I usually have little strips of Washi Tape

all over the back side of my transparency page

but removed them so that you can

better visualize how the die cuts

are added using Mini Glue Dots.

Then when I am traveling or out & about,

I can simply open to my transparency page

and grab a die cut piece and some Washi Tape

and BOOM! Instant creativity!

Create your own die cut pieces using

stamps, ink, and a die cutting tool.

Make yourself a little journal,

transparency page included,

and then travel with it.

Grab a few pre-folded cards

and just enough supplies to

allow you to make up all kinds of

beautiful greetings while you travel.

You can do the same with

just about any Paper Crafting love.

It all starts with...

GLUE DOTS.

(psst... visit the Glue Dots blog for a giveaway!)

Thanks for visiting today!

Enjoy the hop and

have a creative day!

Bella Blvd & CardMaker Blog Hop!

Welcome! Welcome!

I am SO excited to see you today!!!

How's the hopping so far?!

I'll keep the chit chat to a minimum

because I have a TON of fun ideas for you :)

and you have a ton of hopping to do!

Today CardMaker Magazine has teamed up with

Illustrated Faith & Bella Blvd

to bring you an AMAZING Blog Hop!

WooHoo!!!

Two of my absolute FAVORITES!!!

You should have hopped your way

to my little creative corner

from Stephanie Buice's

Bits of Sunshine.

When you're all finished here with me,

hop on over to Nancy Damiano's

Paper Orchard.

But before you go any further...

LISTEN UP!!!

Be sure to start at

CARDMAKER MAGAZINE's BLOG

and remember to visit

BELLA BLVD

because there you will find a

super crazy, super nice, super duper

GIVEAWAY...

That's right!

Every thing in the pic above

could be YOURS!!!

Squeeeee!!!

And if you happen to lose your spot

along the hop,

just jump back my way

and find links to all of the

participating Design Team Members

at the end of this post.

This is going to be fun!

Are you ready?!

GO!!!

Illustrated Faith and Bella Blvd.

are leaders in the industry when it comes

to providing folks with

exceptional Bible Journaling supplies.

At my desk (or at least always near)

are my basket filled with

IF goodies (above),

and my IF paints, tools

and tub full of Devotionals-

which you can find at the

Illustrated Faith online store.

Someone got a tad bit jealous

of all the photos I was taking sooo...

Obviously, my favorite thing

to do with IF products is

Bible Journaling.

I painted the page above,

stamped the butterflies from the

Fly Free and the title from

Homespun stamp sets,

added number stickers,

and finished off with a few

enamel hearts.

I absolutely love how

this adorable greeting card

turned out with all the fun IF goodies!

And just look at how cute that

Washi taped envelope is!

IF Washi tape is some of my

fave fave FAVEorite!!!

I made my card so the coffee cup

can be removed from the grass.

One of the sweetest parts

about the IF die cut pieces

is the Scripture reference

on the back of each piece.

So many people tell me,

"I don't know where to begin"

when they first start Bible Journaling.

That's what so nice about

these die cut prompts

from Illustrated faith...

they give you a place to begin.

LOVE that!!!

A little Washi tape for my greeting

and DONE!

Ready to mail to my sweet niece!

Alright... I solemnly confess...

I am addicted to MINI ALBUMS.

There, I said it.

It's out in the open.

Now I can feel free to make

as many of these

A... DOR... A... BLE

File Folder Journals

as I like. HA!

One simple file folder,

trimmed one time

and folded

to create this fun little treasure!

Use it as a mini album,

junk journal, diary, list keeper,

YOU NAME IT!

I love the size because

it easily fits in my

car, purse, Bible bag, gym bag...

basically ANYWHERE.

And just look how stinkin' cute

it is with all those fun

Illustrated Faith embellishments!

Where you see the baker's twine,

writing paper is tucked under the twine

and more can be added and added

and added and... well,

you get the idea.

I love making these cute little journals

grow and grow and grow!

There's even a side pocket

for my photos, ticket stubs, receipts,

IF journaling cards, or anything

else I might want to savor.

The stamp set featured in the photo above

is found in one of the Devo Kits

offered by Illustrated Faith.

Be sure to check those out!

Every now and then

I like to add my own sketchy goodness

to my IF Bible Journaling pages.

I really enjoyed how my whale

turned out looking so

proud of himself.

If you know the story of

Jonah and the whale,

then you know

this whale was honored

to do the will of God

by swallowing up

one run-away-Jonah

just to hurl him out on a beach

near Nineveh.

And if you don't know the story,

it's certainly one

you will find very interesting.

Trust me!

There ya have it!

I hope you enjoyed all the

colorful samples

I have to share with you.

That is one of the things I like most

about Illustrated Faith...

thanks to the expertise of

Bella Blvd,

these products are packed full of

COLOR

and fun!

Thanks for hopping along today

and for dropping by to say "hi!"

I love your comments.

Keep them sweet

and I'll be sweetly blessed indeed.
