The AIIM Awards Program recognizes the leaders, the innovators, and the dedicated members of our community. Award nominees test the boundaries of our industry, look to the future, respect the past, take risks, serve their profession, and welcome diversity of thought. Award nominees lead by example and hear the call to serve.
The Award of Merit was established in 1954 and is the highest award the association can bestow. This award recognizes lifetime achievement to the association and to the industry.
No more than one (1) such award will be made in any one year. The Award of Merit is not necessarily awarded annually.
To be eligible to receive the Award of Merit, each nominee must:
No member of the Board of Directors can receive an Association award during his/her tenure on the Board. Members of the Board cannot make nominations for the Awards.
Nominations shall be made by a member of the Company of Fellows.
Recipients will be selected by the AIIM Awards Committee and approved by the Board of Directors.
To nominate an AIIM Professional Member, please send a letter of nomination detailing their lifetime of service to the industry. Letters should include both the nominee's and nominator's full contact information. Established in 1963, the Company of Fellows honors those individuals in the association who merit recognition and distinction for their outstanding contributions to the ECM industry. Each award is numbered and assigned in perpetuity. Enrollments are limited to no more than four (4) individuals per year.
To be eligible for enrollment in the Company of Fellows each nominee must:
No member of the Board of Directors can receive an Association award during his/her tenure on the Board (with the exception of the Best Practices Awards, which are voted on by the membership). Members of the Board cannot make nominations for the Awards.

The Thomas C. Bagg Standards Award is given in memory of Thomas C. Bagg, Jr., who was an internationally recognized leader in the standards community. No more than one such award will be made in any one year, and it is not necessarily awarded annually. To be eligible to receive the Thomas C. Bagg Standards Award, each nominee must:

With many ways to lead at AIIM, there are those few unique individuals who answer the call to leadership and we salute them!
Established in 2015, this award is open to all Professional Members. The Carl E. Weise Scholarship Award recognizes organizations whose Information Governance program is making an impact. Only one small to mid sized organization that is improving an ongoing program of information governance shall be recognized each year. To be eligible to receive the Carl E. The AIIM Leadership Award is open to all Professional Members. It recognizes individuals whose outstanding leadership within our community goes above and beyond to benefit the advancement of the information management industry and AIIM especially in the past twelve (12) months.
