How to get certified

Choose a certification

Choose the level of certification you wish to achieve:

Single product certification:
Adobe offers single product exams for many of our products. Show your proficiency in a single Adobe product by passing one current product-specific exam. See product certification exams.
Specialist certification:
Specialist certifications recognize your proficiency in a specific medium: print, web, or video. To become certified as a Specialist, you must pass the current version of all required exams and any one elective within any given certification track. All exams must be the same version—for example, all CS4 or all CS5—to meet the requirements. Learn more about specialist certification.
Master certification:
ACE Master Certification recognizes your skills with entire product suites with a focus on design, web, or video. To become certified as an ACE Master, you must pass the current exam for each of the products in the suite. All exams must be for the same version of the Creative Suite. Register for the exam

Adobe Certified Expert exams are administered by Pearson VUE, and independent third-party testing company. The tests are offered at over 5,000 authorized testing centers in over 100 countries. Visit the Pearson VUE website to register for a certification exam.

Prepare for and take the exam

Most certification exams are computer-delivered, closed-book tests. The number of questions and length of time to complete the exam vary for each product.

Once you are certified, you can join the Adobe Certified portal. Creating an account with the portal enables you to:
