happy monday bloggers! yes, a happy monday indeed as things are finally back to normal around the studio. i was happy that i had this past weekend to get caught up everything and lucky for me the inspiration hit right away (thank goodness). it’s weird that even with such a creative job, deadlines can really consume my creativity sometimes. so once the emails and paperwork were caught up on, i immersed myself in inks, paints, embellishments, papers, and just focused on the creative process. i reminded myself to not stress over the deadlines, but instead “enjoy the journey”. that was really the trick, to just be creative without expectations, and it happened – like magic. today i still have a table full of supplies, a pile of finished projects, with just one more to complete to send them off. thanks for the kind words of encouragement on the blog this weekend – it’s amazing what 2 days of uninterrupted time can do…
i thought it would be great to give some creative prizes away to a few lucky bloggers. just leave a comment about what creative project you’re working on, and you just may win some things to help you out. winners will be announced tomorrow right here on the blog – see you then…t!m

I am making tags to give to the people at my 6th annual Charity Crop for lupus.
Since I am going to be at a Scrapbook Retreat I have been going through and trying to get the projects that are half done to take with me so I can finish them.
Deadlines are weird creatures for sure. Hope you’ll find some «play» time as well.
Here, I’m catching up with our Project Life album and blogging, and I really wanna paint and continue to work on some Mixed Media paintings I’ve been doing and can’t wait to see finished.
thanks for the opportunity to win some goodies.
just started easter cards 🙂 eggs, eggs, eggs, and some flowers 🙂
Currently working on some layouts. Soon I will be starting a special album for my in-laws with the help of my daughter.
So True, we all need to be reminded to “Enjoy the journey”..no stress…I have been holding onto a 6 pain antique window for years and I am determined to do this project BEFORE I start anything else….right now I’m in love with the paint that works like mercury glass…hummm what to do what to do>??????
Loving the London cab sneak peek! I’m enjoying creating wedding canvases for my friends shop 🙂 Thanks for your inspiration x
Happy to hear you’re caught up. I’ve been creating in the studio too. I’m working on some cards using the new Distress Paints. Stamping on black card stock or tags is amazing. Can’t wait to blog about them. Thanks for creating such awesome products for us all to use.
I have been working on an altered metal box, when Im done it will house my distress stains and paints 😀
I feel ya … after having years of not creating or making time to create anything other than cupcakes or even being able to walk into my craft room, I finally got back in there this weekend and did a 6×6 canvas … it felt so good to have my hands in ink and paint! A lot of it was inspired by your products and a youtube video … If you want to see it I posted it on FB thanks for all the great inspiration!
I’m having to learn to enjoy the journey and not stress so much, tried it this weekend–it’s getting better and I am starting to enjoy my crafting journey–need to find new toys and fun stuff though
Working on my sisters birthday card with all my Tim Holtz stuff & then planning Easter tag cards again using only Tim Holtz 🙂
Birthday cards and trying to organize all my goodies to make space for more!
I am currently working on a harmonica scrapbook for my boyfriend’s aunt who turns 70. When you love the person you are creating a project for, the inspiration just flows out of you. At least that is the case with me. I am a starting crafter and find it a bit hard to just create for the sake of creating. I guess I still have a lot of growing to do but oh boy, tim and your team, you make it a lot easier! You guide me on my journey. Thank you for that.
I’m working on getting my craft room sorted so that I can craft and not worry too much about the mess. Today we have bought shelves to go on the walls and tomorrow my darling husband will put them up for me, then it is down to sorting out and making it easy for me to find things.
Working on cards while waiting for the mailman to deliver more goodies, er, supplies! 😉
I am working on a scrapbook calender – january and february are done, but the rest is still missing. until now I only been making cards (that is still my favorite) but I am practise making the scrapbooking in large scale. I love to work with different techniques, and distress ink is in use all the time. I am looking so much forward to try the distress paint. I think it is perfect for my attempt to work with the shabby shick style. Until now the vintage style has been my favorite.
Made a shdowbox with my dautgher-in-law with their invitation and cake topper. We made their inviations using your butterfly, flourish and tattered floral dies. It came out so beautiful!
OH! I love how you have all your findings, etc. laid out in front of you so they can speak to you!
I’ve been organizing my work desk on this long weekend and playing with my stamps and inks while I put them away. Just by touching them and organizing them I can feel my mojo starting to hum and pretty soon I’ll be creating instead of organizing!!
As always, I want to say thank you for the insight into your creative processes that you share with us. You inspire me to just go with the flow!!
I also struggle at times with letting the creativity flow when faced with a deadline. Right now, I am working on cards for a dear friend whose house burned down; she requested thank you cards to give to those who have been so generous to her during this difficult time. Even though I’m on a deadline of sorts with that, the creativity has come fairly easy since I know I’m helping someone out.
Thank you for all you do for all of us, Tim! I had an awesome time watching Ted demo the Distress Paints at the SSAT in Columbia, SC, this past weekend! Now, I gotta have ’em all!!!
