I took up cycling a year and a half ago. Then, I started using Strava last Spring. I love how it records my ride and shows me how out of shape I am compared to everyone else ;) It was awesome to see how my ride on the 2015 UCI Road World Championship course in Richmond compared to the pros.

The Taylor Stitch x Strava après sweats collection is my new want. I do wish they’d done a subtle orange stitch as a nod to Strava, though. Available for men and women with prices under $100. Sewn up in the Republic of CA.

The American consumer sees a value-add in products that can overperform, and I call it the Range Rover effect,” said Matt Powell, an analyst at Princeton Retail Analysis. “If I have a Range Rover, I’m probably never going to drive it up the side of a mountain, but it’s really cool that you can do that, and maybe that makes me feel a little safer driving to the grocery store.

We can do it (make womenswear in America)!

For a long time I’ve been frustrated that the majority of brands producing American made clothing are focused on menswear. Thankfully, over the past few years, I’ve noticed this has started to change. Here is a list of some of my favorite American made women’s clothing brands. I was inspired to share it when I saw that Northern Grade is planning a women’s specific pop-up in NYC for Dec 6-7th. Hopefully I’ll see you there!

Did I miss a great brand? Please let me know. I do a lot of research but I’m only one person.

SILCA SuperPista Ultimate Floor Pump. Made in America. That’ll be $450 to pump your tires, please.

Along the way, the company ideals became deeply rooted in a combination of durable materials, traditional craftsmanship, and innovation. It is no accident that so many of the SILCA pumps of the 1960’s and 70’s are still in use today, nor is it accidental that we continue to sell replacement parts for those very pumps.

Reflecting back on a good weekend

1. Who took the popsicles home from the campsite?

2. How is my upper back the only sunburned part of my body?

3. Can it be summer forever?
