I think I actually misunderstood the word preschool, thought it was from age 7 until you begin highschool. Anyway, 7 years at La Masia vs 2 at Zagreb is a big difference. Does this make Sancho a Dortmund graduate?

Yea it's the inconsistency which kills me. Sometimes Mbappe can outrun a CB, sometimes not. Nobody knows when it will happen though

January is closing in on us and as you all know the rumours will start flying around once again.
Whether you think Valverde is playing the type of football we want we must all acknowledge the fact that that specific style of play we all love is only possible when all the pieces are in the right places. Xavi, Puyol and Dani are long gone, Iniesta isn’t here anymore and our beloved Messi, Pique and Busquets aren’t getting any younger. Now I’m not going to talk about life after Messi because I simply can’t handle that amount of physical and mental stress right now but let’s talk about the others. I’m going to rate our ”replacements” and I ask you to do the same. Keep in mind that these are my two cents on the matter and that I also don’t have the time to watch every single game (even though I try to). Here they are:
• Dani Alves - He is one of the two(the other one being Xavi) that we’ve tried to replace for years, unfortunately still without any real success. Don’t get me wrong, I like what Semedo’s been able to bring to our team but he is no Alves. The problem isn’t Semedo though, the problem is that Alves was a very special type of player that you simply can’t find out there at the moment. Who in the football world would you reckon could effectively replace him today? I think we should simply let Semedo grow and keep monitoring his progress, maybe he’ll explode and become world class in a couple of years, who knows?
• Xavi - Ah yes, Xavi, my favourite non-Messi Barca player ever. Many call Arthur the new Xavi and I don’t blame them, the man’s resemblance with our legend is pretty remarcable. He is our best bet at even trying to replace Xavi at the moment. Let’s just hope Valverde keeps giving him minutes so that he grows in to the beast we all hope him to become as soon as possible!
• Puyol - let’s be real, we’ve been missing Puyol’s leadership ever since he retired and as of yet nobody has been able to fill his shoes in that regard. Umtiti is a rock though and we should all be glad to have him, especially for the price he was bought. He might not be the gladiator that Puyol was but he’s been nothing but solid for us.
• Pique - I’ll be honest, he hasn’t been at his best for the last couple of years but he’ll always be remembered for what he’s given us in his prime. To have a defender so tailor made for Barca’s needs come from our own academy and make this kind of impact is simply amazing. For me he’s a legend of our club. But how do we effectively replace such an icon? The answer is simple - De Ligt. I know you saw it coming but come on, this guy is as much a generational talent as Mbappe, he just doesn’t get as hyped because he’s a defender. We MUST sign him, and quick! Both City and Juve are after him so we have to act fast.
• Iniesta - Don Andres is together with Xavi one of the best midfielders to ever grace the field, which makes it understandable that he’ll be impossible to fully replace. What we can do though is getting a player with similar qualities. We bought Coutinho for big money and his stats and overall play has been very good, even though he hasn’t played in Iniesta’s old position much. I think we should help him adapt to that position because.. well, imagine a midfield duo of Coutinho and Arthur (both Brazilians, both resembling the men we hope they’ll replace —> new Xaviesta? I guess we’ll see!).
• Busquets - It seems like juat yesterday when Pep promoted a virtually unknown Busi to the first team but the reality is that he is now over 30 years old.. For me he’ll be the most diffcult to replace after Messi. There have been talks before about De Jong, Jorginho, Wiegl and Rodri and they are all good players but what I really hope is that Oriol comes up from the B team and makes Busi’s place his own. I feel like the replacement has to be here to learn from Busi before he retires because how else would you learn such a pivotal and special position in a system like ours?
These are my two cents on the matter but I now ask you to do the same and tell me which players out there in the fotball world could fill the holes that these legends left? Also, which players should we sell?
There will never be another Iniesta. Xavi was one of the all time greats at his position, but Iniesta was a special kind of genius, much like Messi.
There will never be another anyone, nobody is a complete copy of another really. All I’m trying to donis think of who could potentially fill the role necessary for us to keep playing the style of play that we love so much. As much as I hate the Barca DNA thing we all have to admit that only a certain kind of players succeed at our club. Only a certain kind of midfielders, defenders, keepers etc. Iniesta was a creative genius that could pass through any defense in the world, all we have to do is hope to find someone with similar qualities. Similar qualities doesn’t mean the players are equal though. That’s not what I’m saying. But yeah, I completely agree with you!
And no one is going is talk about the striker position. Suarez is ageing and has shows sign of that, backup to Suarez is munir, which I don't think will be the perfect replacement.

Whenever I play doubles with my friend we always have to come up with a fixed playing style that we’d stay true to. The problem with us is that he is the Klopp type of player while I’m the Pep type of player. We compromise but having GREAT communication during the game while adhering to a specific style that’s usually a morph of our personal preferences. That’s the best tip I can give you! Make it so that there’s no misunderstanding between you two and all will be fine!
Neres is crazy good. Scores with both feet and feels even faster than what his stats suggets. Vinicius feels like slightly less agile Neymar. Allan reminds of how Kante plays irl. The dude is everywhere and has unlimited stamina, I mean after minute 85’ he and the wingers are pretty much the only ones left to do my counterattacks. Wendell feels exactly like FIFA 17 Alaba.

You could get Ter Stegen in goal, he’s been sick for me. Also Alba instead of Marcelo (if you don’t mind losing the 5* and if that’s so then keep him seeing as he’s an important part of your playstyle). Get Carvajal instead of Roberto and Varane instead of Pique and you’ll be set until TOTS comes. For the midfield I feel like you need more pace and agility seeing as Rakitic and Casemiro are pretty bulky guys. Get yourself Modric instead of Kroos, Kondogbia instead of Casemiro (to keep the strength up) and buy Isco for the CM position. He is absolutely killing it for me! Griezmann instead of Suarez is a must, Suarez is just too bulky to effectively link up to your wingers (on paper that is). Griezmann would be perfect if you want to play a fluid attack and he links up incredibly well with the likes of Dembele and Coutinho (all of them are pretty small and agile but got great balance so they won’t be pushed off the ball too easily).
These are my tips, obviously influenced by my own preferences and playstyle. Hope they helped!

Det är så svart vitt. Det är en sak att se rumäner äta frön ibland och det är en annan sak att växa upp med att samla småpeng med sina kompisar för att tillsammans köpa en påse o dela på. Jag har upplevt kulturen på en annan nivå än nån som bara bott där i 1 år. Jag går inte o diskuterar om svenska kulturer med folk som e födda o uppväxta här förfan, hur arrogant kan man vara?

Jag jobbar på Dressmann och vi har iallafall alla byxor (jeans, chinos osv) i upp till 36 tum i längd (borde räcka för någon runt 195cm lång) samt skjortor i modellen ”x-tra long” där allt är proportionellt längre trots att de samtidigt följer storlekarna M, L, XL osv. För lite finare tillfällen har vi också kostymer i ”Long” version både som Regular fit och Slim fit (samma princip som skjortorna). Dessa är tyvärr det enda Dressmann har att erbjuda när det gäller någon med din längd.

Jag förstår dessutom inte heller varför vi fortsätter envisa oss med 4-4-2. Det funkar helt enkelt inte. Visst, det finns lag i toppen av fotbollsvärlden som har dominerat med en defensiv 4-4-2 som formation (Fergusons United, Leicester under titelvinsten, Atletico under Simeone osv) men tittar man på dessa lag så har alla några saker gemensamt: - väldigt pålitliga målvakter (Van der Sar/De Gea, Schmeichel, Oblak) - otroligt tighta och säkra försvar - minst EN kreativ spelare som kan bollen ska siktas mot så fort man vinner den för att kickstarta anfallen (Tex Mahrez för Leicester och Ronaldo/Rooney förr i United) - minst EN riktigt snabb anfallare för att lyckas kontra annars försvarar man hela matchen och bollen kommer aldrig upp till motståndarens halva (exempel är Vardy, Ronaldo, Tevez, Griezmann osv)
Av dessa har vi bara en, en kreativ spelare - Forsberg.
Man skulle också kunna göra om hela landslaget och sätta fokus på bollinnehav och teknik eftersom en studie gjord för några år sedan visade att svenska U19 talanger över hela Europa var bland de mest tekniska (alltså där uppe med spanska talanger). Problemet var tydligen att man aldrig utvecklar spelarnas taktiska förmågor. Taktik är något som aldrig riktigt tas på allvar i Sverige på samma sätt som i tex Italien och Spanien där spelare lär sig basic taktik vid U10 nivå. Tyvärr så hittar jag ingen källa till studien men det var ett ämne som ofta kom upp under min tränarutbildning hos SvFF.
