Brand new to sewing? Patch Halifax can help.
One of our beginner classes will introduce you to the sewing machine and teach you the basics.
If you’ve got experience but want to improve or learn new skills, take a look at our intermediate workshop offerings. If there is something you’ve been dying to learn about but don’t see a class scheduled, please let us know and we will see if we can add it.
Our instructors are knowledgeable, patient and love what they do. Our workshops are small so that each participant gets their own machine, plus we are well supplied with the tools you need for any project. We also understand that practice makes all the difference, so each workshop enrollment includes machine rental time so you can come back and practice at your own pace.

Class policies:
Due to our small class sizes and as a courtesy to our instructors and other students, it is very important for you to check your calendar prior to booking a class. There are no refunds for missed classes. With a one-week notice, you may reschedule for another class.
If we have to cancel a class, we will issue a full refund or transfer you to a class of your choice. Classes require a minimum of 3 students. If minimum registration is not met, we will gladly refund your class fee or credit it towards another class or merchandise in the shop.
Unless noted in the class description, supplies are not included. You are always welcome to bring supplies from your own stash, but if you plan to buy anything, please allow enough time to browse. There is a lot to learn in a short period of time and we need to start on time to make sure we cover it all! Also note that we always recommend you wash and dry fabric prior to sewing with it so if possible, it’s best arrive ready to sew with laundered fabric.
