Broccoli, Cheese and Rice Casserole with a Le Creuset Review

Did you ever have broccoli, cheese and rice casserole at your family Thanksgiving?  My Nana made it nearly every year – it was a favorite of most everyone’s but when she passed away in 1999, it was forgotten.  Until this year.  Sometime around October I began trying to find a recipe – her recipe –…

Easy Cinnamon Butter Monkey Bread

It’s the weekend!  Last weekend I made this Easy Cinnamon Butter Monkey Bread – a request from Mr. Picky Eater, and it was fantastic.  We munched and munched all morning long until it was all gone.  We needed it as we have been busy as bees around the house.  We generally do not pay much…

It’s full on Football Season at our house with Saturdays reserved for Pigskin Games only, making snacks a big deal and these Bacon Wrapped Dates are the REAL DEAL. I must tell you this Lemon Pecan Pie is the most fabulous pie that I have eaten in a long time – it is lip-smacking, finger-licking deee-lish!  We have found a new addition to our Thanksgiving table. The other night I was reading my Face Book newsfeed and a photo caught my eye taken by…

Meet Kelli

kelliMy name is Kelli and I live in the southern mid-west. I learned to can fruits and vegetables when I was eight years old, from my grandmother. She taught me everything she knew and I have kept that knowledge with me for a very long time. I like to can, mostly making jelly, jam, and marmalade as a hobby. I am not a purist nor am I obsessed with not using sugar or pectin. I really enjoy the process of canning and love to learn new things that other canners might be willing to share. I hope you enjoy my blog and will contribute as often as you like!
