CCMC467 Beautiful Bouquet
It’s Thursday…time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! The color challenge today just called for flowers in my mind! So…that’s the direction I headed…I pulled out my Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. I’ve only used it for a swap and a couple of the greetings…so time to see what else it has!

Here’s my card. I used a Create with Connie and Mary sketch from several years ago…I think it worked out great! After I finished, I thought the blossoms sort of looked like fireworks! I’ll have to remember that!

Here are the details:
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 piece Pear Pizzazz cardstock was added to the front.
- A 1/2 x 4 strip of Island Indigo cardstock was added across the top, then a 2 x 3-1/2 piece of Fresh Florals Designer Paper was cut with a flag end and added on top.
- The stems of the bouquet were stamped with Pear Pizzazz Ink on Whisper White and the blossoms with Berry Burst on Whisper White cardstock. It was cut with the largest Stitched Shapes oval Framelit.
- Several of the blossoms from Beautiful Bouquet were stamped with Island Indigo Ink on Whisper White, then cut with the Bouquet Bunch Framelit and added to the bouquet with Mini Glue Dots.
- The bow from Beautiful Bouquet was stamped with Island Indigo Ink on scrap Whisper White and cut with the Framelit, then added to the stem with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
- Thanks a bunch greeting from Beautiful Bouquet stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the bottom corner.
- Glitter Dots were added to the 1/2″ cardstock strip and the center of the bow for a little bling!
I can’t wait to play with this stamp set some more! Check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did over on Create with Connie and Mary this week! Then play along! And…don’t forget about our JULY MINI SESSION which opened last week! Don’t miss out! Make sure to sign up today!

SUOC179 Beautiful Bouquet

I made this card for a New Catalog swap that I participated in last month. I won’t tell you how long this card took to put together…the layout just wasn’t coming together with the diamond ring as I saw in my head! FINALLY, got it to work…and I love the result!

Here are the details:
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Soft Sky was embossed with the new Oh My Stars embossing folder and adhered to the front.
- A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Pick A Pattern Designer Paper was placed down the right side with a 1/8 x 5-1/2 strip of Silver Glimmer Paper on top.
- Using the 2 and 2-1/4 Circle Punches, I made a ring cut from Silver Metallic cardstock.
- The greeting from Beautiful Bouquet was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and punched with the 2-1/4 Circle Punch, then adhered behind the silver ring. It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The solid diamond was cut from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper with the Eclectic Layers Thinlits and the outline diamond was cut from Silver Glimmer Paper. They were adhered together with Tombow Multipurpose Glue and added to the ring on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Isn’t this a fun engagement or wedding card? One of my customers loved it so much she wanted to make it for her daughter who just got engaged. What can you do with the New Product theme this week? Don’t forget to check out what the rest of the Design Team for SUO Challenges did this week with this theme! I’m sure they will have some great ideas!
Saturday Blog Hop – Shaped Cards

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is featuring “Shaped Cards” for their cards this week…not your regular rectangle or squares. This has been a CHALLENGE for me since I’ve been rather rushed getting ready for the Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip! It was taking a little more brain power than I had to spare! lol! But here is what I came up with…a shaped wine-bottle card! Yum, yum!

Here are the details:
- I used a wine bottle template that I found HERE to print out the shape. I cut that out then traced it on a 8-1/2 x 11 piece of Old Olive cardstock that is scored at 4-1/4 and folded. The fold line is on the left side of the bottle.
- I stamped a row of daisies on a 1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of Whisper White cardstock, adhered it along the bottom, the trimmed off the sides.
- I cut the largest circle Stitched Shape from Whisper White cardstock, then layered it on the largest scallop Layered Circle of Island Indigo.
- The greeting from Label Me Pretty was stamped with Island Indigo Ink in the upper right corner.
- Another 1-1/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Delightful Daisy Designer Paper was cut with the largest circle Stitched Shape, then adhered to the bottom of the Whisper White one.
- Two daisies from Daisy Delight were stamped with Crushed Curry Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then colored in the center with a Sponge Dauber, the punched with the Daisy Punch. They were adhered together.
- The center was stamped with Island Indigo Ink on Whisper White and then cut out.
- Three leaves were stamped with Island Indigo on Old Olive cardstock and hand-cut out.
- The circles were placed on the front of the bottle with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then the Daisy and leaves were adhered and the petals curled.
- In the center is a Clear Faceted Gem.
- At the top, I used the template again and cut out the top portion from the same Delightful Daisy Designer Paper, adhered to the top.
- Old Olive Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the top several times, then tied in a bow!
OK…check out what the rest of the Design Team and their Shaped Cards by taking our Saturday Blog Hop! Next up is our Create with Connie and Mary website to find out more about signing up for our NEW July Mini Session, then onto Mary Brown, or go backwards to visit Melissa Davies!

CCMC466 Garden Girl
It’s Thursday…time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! This is a cool sketch challenge this week…I’ll be using the sketch again, I know!

Here are the details:
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 piece was cut from the Fresh Florals Designer Paper in the Berry Burst color.
- A strip of Tranquil Tide Ribbon was cut and wrapped around to the back of the DSP to adhere. Then that panel added to the base card.
- I cut and angled a 3-1/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Whisper White cardstock, then added a 1/4″ strip of Basic Black cardstock behind it on the left side. It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The Garden Girl image was stamped with Basic Black Archival Ink on Shimmer White and watercolored with the Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen. She was cut out an added to the front of the Whisper White panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The greeting from Beautiful Bouquet stamp set was stamped with Basic Black Archival Ink in the bottom right corner.
- A couple Glitter Dots were added to the front.
Such a sweet card, I think! Check out the fun with the rest of the Challenge Team over on Create with Connie and Mary this week! Then play along! And…our JULY MINI SESSION just opened! Don’t miss out! Make sure to sign up today!

Pocketful of Sunshine again
Remember last week I told you I had another card that was the prototype for the swap card that I actually made? You can see the swap card HERE. But this is the one that started the thought process. I thought it was lots of fun…reminds me of the Sunny 95 radio station logo here in town!

Here are the details:
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 2 x 5-1/4 strip of Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Paper was placed along the bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White.
- Lemon Lime Twist Ribbon was wrapped around the Whisper White and tied in a bow to hide the seam.
- You Dazzle Me from Pocketful of Sunshine was stamped with Memento Black Ink on the right side.
- Daffodil Delight cardstock was punched with the Starburst Punch and adhered to the front.
- The sunglasses were stamped with Memento Black on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and cut with the Pocket Framelits and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the sun.
- Two Rhinestone jewels were placed on the corners of the glasses and along the right edge.
OK…which one do YOU like better? For my swap I needed to save a little ribbon, so I went with my other version!

Here’s another swap card I made (21 of them!) for a New Annual Catalog swap. I love the Coffee Cafe stamp set…just too fun! Love that Designer Paper, too!

Here are the details:
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Real Red cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- On the 3-1/4 x 5 piece of Whisper White cardstock, the coffee beans were stamped in the upper right and lower left corners a few times. It was placed on the front at a slight angle.
- A 2 x 4 piece of Coffee Break Designer Paper was cut with a flag end, then added in the opposite angle to the front on the Whisper White layer.
- Linen Thread was wrapped around several times and tied in the back, then the layer added to the front of the card.
- The larger cup was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and the greeting with Real Red Ink inside. It was cut out with the Coffee Cups Framelits. The whipped cream was cut with the Framelit from Whisper White and placed behind the top of the cup. Some Clear Wink of Stella was brushed over it. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A straw was cut 1/4 x 2 from Red Glimmer Paper and placed in the cup.

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New Catalog Set

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is featuring “Favorite New Catalog Set” for their cards this week. I wonder if it will be as difficult for the rest of the Design Team to choose just ONE set! I love a LOT of the new stamp sets in the catalog! But, I narrowed my selection down to Coffee Cafe. Really…it was the first set in the new catalog that I knew I just HAD to have, even though I have every other coffee set that Stampin’ Up! has ever made! lol!

Here are the details:
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock is placed on top.
- The Coffee Break DSP piece is cut to 1-1/4 x 4 and added across the front.
- Three different sized Stitched Shape circles were cut from Old Olive, Pool Party and the coffee bean pattern in Coffee Break DSP, then adhered to the front.
- The large Coffee Cup image was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Crumb Cake, then the greeting stamped inside with Early Espresso Ink. It was cut with the Coffee Cups Framelits and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The lid was cut from Whisper White and the stopper heart was cut from Berry Blast cardstock and tucked on the lid. It was added to the top of the coffee cup with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the front of the card.
- The little hearts were stamped with Berry Blast Ink randomly and a few scattered rhinestones were added for a little sparkle.

CCMC465 Oh So Eclectic
It’s Thursday…time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! We have a fun color challenge using one of the new In Colors for you to try this week!

Oh So Eclectic has some random shapes and images in the Bundle, but I love the star shaped cutout thinlit. I decided to further cut it out from the surrounding cardstock and use it as a little accent on my card.

Here are the details:
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Tranquil Tide cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- The diamond shape background accent piece was cut from Night of Navy cardstock and added to the front.
- The little flower image from Oh So Eclectic was stamped several times with Tranquil Tide Ink in the background on a diagonal.
- The two flowers were stamped with Night of Navy Ink on Peekaboo Peach, then cut with the Eclectic Layers Thinlits. The centers were sponged with Peekaboo Peach Ink for a little shading. They were popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Three leaves were stamped with Tranquil Tide Ink and cut with the Thinlits, then tucked and adhered under the flowers.
- A bow was made from Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon and added with Mini Glue Dots.
- The Missing You greeting from Oh So Eclectic was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on scrap Whisper White, trimmed and tucked under the flower on the front.
I love this little bouquet of flowers! Check out the fun with the rest of the Challenge Team over on Create with Connie and Mary this week! Then play along! And…we are now taking signups for our JULY MINI SESSION! Don’t miss out!

Pocketful of Sunshine
Hope you had a wonderful 4th of July holiday! We attended a potluck dinner at the clubhouse of our new home and met lots of new neighbors!
I participated in WAY too many New Catalog swaps last month. I committed to them before our move…not realizing how out-of-sorts the move would make me…not to mention that I wouldn’t be able to find my stamping supplies easily! But, I felt that I would need some samples for my stamp clubs to see…and I wouldn’t be able to make them up myself! So…good news is that I have a lot of new card samples…but they are wanting me to BUY more new stuff! Of course…that’s the purpose, right?
Here’s one swap card I made using the new Pocketful of Sunshine. I had to make 21 of them! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE those sunglasses! I’ve been wanting something like them for a long time! Paired them with the new Starburst punch that looks like a sun…and the yummy new Lemon Lime Twist bright cardstock! Perfect! This is actually the second version of the card…will show you the first one in a few days!

Here are the details:
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Paper was placed along the right edge of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
- Lucky Lime Twist Ribbon hides the seam and wraps to the back to adhere.
- You Dazzle Me from Pocketful of Sunshine was stamped on Daffodil Delight cardstock and punched with the Starburst Punch then placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The sunglasses were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Lucky Lime Twist cardstock, then cut with the Pocket Framelits. It was placed on the sun with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Two Rhinestone Jewels were placed on the sunglasses in the corners and then on the top of the Whisper White cardstock for a little bling.
