A quick weave.....
Finished Double Width Blanket
I had the warp wound on the back beam back in April 2015 when life then got terribly busy. I finally threaded the heddles, sleyed the reed and began weaving this blanket on 11-24-2015 and finishing it on 11-30-2015. It's amazing how fast the weave went once I had the time to work on it!
Finished measurements:
Width: 71"
Length w/o fringe: 77"
Length including fringe: 86"

| The 60" Fireside Tapestry Loom has the remaining warp from the previous owner that I threaded up and am just playing with what is left on it. |

| The 36" Fireside cantilever Tapestry Loom has a completed study of angles on it, on the right warp. The left warp will be a study of curves and circles |
Angles Sampler
Nothing earth shattering, just a angles sampler. I've been working on this with the guidance of a mentor, thru the American Tapestry Alliance within their Mentoring Program which is a 6 month commitment. This was my first exercise. Working with angles and learning how to achieve the different degree of angles. The mentoring program is an awesome benefit that can be used if desired with the membership. Finished size: 14.5" x 8.5" The next sampler on the left warp will be curves and circles.

January / February 2015 Tapestry Diary
Weaving this diary has been a wonderful experience and has got me in the habit of daily tapestry weaving, which I will continue on the next pieces. Some of the entries have personal meaning while others were just practicing techniques.

Certainly not masterpieces - but you've gotta start somewhere!
Rebecca Mezoff's Online Tapestry Class has been the "PUSH" I needed to begin using the tapestry looms I've been acquiring for the last few years. I've learned so much already! Part 2 has just started and I've only begun weaving the sampler for that class. I'll post photos once I have enough to show.
The photos below are what I have woven in less than a month, using the skills she has taught.

Rebecca Mezoff's Online Tapestry Course
Today I signed up for Rebecca Mezoff's Online Tapestry Course: Warp and Weft: Learning the Structure of Tapestry, Part 1. Part 1 officially begins on April 28th and runs thru May 26th. Parts 2 and 3 will follow ending July 25th. Additional access of the course material is available thru August 9th . I do plan on taking all of the 3 parts that Rebecca is offering. I've been looking at Rebecca's tapestries on her blog for many months and when I recently watched the video trailer for her class, I was convinced! I am drawn to her style of weaving and I love the enthusiasm and energy that she projects.
For the last week my husband Jim said "Rebecca's class is all you've been talking about and why don't you just sign up for them". Well, that was all the nudge I needed! I'm so excited!
Once signed up, there is a "Preliminary Information" section that I was able to access prior to the class starting date. In this section - there is a video discussion of the tools, yarn and looms that will be used in this course given by Rebecca, along with a couple PDF's and many links to where supplies can be obtained.
If the "preliminary info" section is any indication of what the rest of this course will be like, then I made a great choice in who I will study tapestry weaving from!
