After a rather mild and lovely fall it's finally getting cold in Dallas. Here's some winter-inspired art, just to put us in the mood...
Journal Entry
I'm very happy to announce that I submitted my New Era Elements Tarot to some publishing companies before Thanksgiving. US Game Systems contacted me back and I've signed a contract with them yesterday to have my latest Tarot deck published. We are currently working on the graphic files and I'm putting together an instructions booklet as well.
The deck should be available in stores and online first quarter of next year. I'll definitely post updates as things progress. I am very excited, and so far everyone at USGS is really friendly, professional and very easy to work with. I think this will be a great experience. Plus this deck will be copyrighted when all is done, so I should have a better handle against art theft than I have now with my unpublished Harry Potter deck.
For everyone who read or commented on my last journal entry: working with ebay and Etsy to get my stolen art removed is proving extremely frustrating. Both sites offer online forms that allow for virtually no explanation - there's barely enough space to post my DA site as proof - ebay isn't responding at all and Etsy threw out my first attempt. The thief of course didn't react to being contacted at all.
Stands to reason: every item these sites remove stops making them money, it's not really in their best interest to listen to the injured party at all. I'll keep trying, but don't see much chance of success. Here are the theft sites:
