The Chicago Design Market is an assembly of five connected pop-up stores on the third floor of Block 37, managed by the Chicago Design Museum (ChiDM). Market features established local brands alongside emerging artists and designers in the spirit of ChiDM’s mission to strengthen the city’s design community by making it more visible and integrated with other communities and the public. Market is open from July to December 2017, and new stores will rotate every month through the end of the year.

The Cards Against Humanity Pop-Up Shop is the card game company’s first offline store. It sells Cards Against Humanity products and a collection of games and comics they sell through their shipping company, Blackbox. The shop also features a curated selection of books on Chicago’s culture and artistic community. Feel free to stop by and enjoy our seating area to relax, read, and play games with friends.
You Are Beautiful is more than a little sticker, it’s an idea. It’s a way to brighten someone’s day, a way to pat a stranger on the back, a way to remind ourselves that even when things aren’t going great, it’s ok. This store features all current You Are Beautiful products, including, of course, the little metallic sticker that started it all.
Here in The Colossal Shop you’ll find fun things for creative people: well-designed, thoughtful, and surprising objects that will make you laugh, raise your eyebrows, smile, take a break, put on your thinking cap, or spark an idea—maybe all at once!
The Fourneau Bread Oven is a patent pending, cast iron bakeware device that will help you make artisan quality bread in your home oven. It was funded on Kickstarter, and designed and made by Strand Design, a Chicago based design studio. Strand is committed to quality, functionality, and making things that bring people joy.
