Irene Thompson
Irene is Professor Emerita, George Washington University, where she taught Russian language and linguistics from 1968 to 1995. She also taught at Cornell, Bryn Mawr, Middlebury, and University of Hawai’i, spent two years as supervising linguist of the Russian program at the Foreign Service Institute, and conducted workshops on language proficiency testing at US colleges and universities and with the Peace Corps abroad. After retiring from teaching in 1995, she served as senior consultant at the National Foreign Language Resource Center of the University of Hawai’i, and as co-editor of the journal Language Learning & Technology. She lives with her husband Richard Thompson in Round Hill, Virginia.

Scott Coble

Jon Phillips
Jon has over 15 years experience in translation, transcription and project leadership. He has been involved in multiple commercial and Government sponsored efforts in translation and human language technologies. As a US Navy Cryptologic Technician, Linguist and Analyst Jon was involved in translation, training and analysis of operational interests in the Persian Gulf, Pakistan, Egypt, Tunisia and Israel.

Monika Coble
As President of pixelEYESthis, Monika brings her broad knowledge and experience in design and project management. She specializes in analyzing a client’s needs and creating a project that meets budget, time and design requirements.
