Position on International Collaboration in Medicine
As a member of the Council for Medical Specialty Societies, AAHPM recently signed on to the CMSS position statement, which expressed concern on the recent executive order suspending some foreign entry into the US and called on national leaders to eliminate barriers to scientific exchange and medical education. Community-Based Palliative Care Guidelines Project Underway
AAHPM will be one of several organizations working to develop new community-based palliative care guidelines beginning in 2017. A grant from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation will fund the project. Learn more.

Funding Awarded for National Registries Project
The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation awarded AAHPM and its partner organizations a 12-month $487,000 grant to explore clinical data registry development to advance the quality of care for patients with serious illness. AAHPM will serve as the lead organization for this project. Learn more.

Pathways Project Will Improve Chronic Kidney Care
Dr. Dale Lupu and Dr. Alvin Moss will serve as co-investigators on a 15-month grant awarded for the Pathways Project to support the development of evidence-based best practices for delivering person-centered palliative care to patients with chronic kidney disease. Learn more.
